Here is a look from the front of the teardrop. After installing the .060" aluminum skin I now wish I had used the same thickness on the sides. It is so much more impervious to dings and dents.
It just looks much better to me.
Tomorrow I plan to trim in the base all the way around the teardop, install & test fit the hatch frame on the hinge, and cut the hole for the fan through the skins.
