I annealed all the aluminum trim needed for the doors at one time. The plans don't call for annealing the inner door trim but I found it much easier to install annealed. It held it's shape when formed around the door.

Once the T molding was installed I used a block of wood and rubber mallet to shape the high spots. I found that a vice and two 2" diameter steel washers sandwiched on either side of the raised section and then pressed worked far better. It did require that I remove the trim, but I had to do that anyway to apply the caulk.
