As you can see I love motorcycles and ATV's. I am not into this for the money, I am into buying/selling/trading for the pure pleasure of riding different types of machines to see what I like best. My quest began a few years ago when I got hooked on streetbikes. I've owned everything from crotch rockets to cruisers and realized the benefits to both. Since then I have found some places to ride off-road with my buddies and enjoy occasional weekend rides. I'm not into racing yet as I don't have the time. I am into testing out different bikes/atv's to find the perfect one for my riding style. I am not an ASE certified mechanic but I consider myself well above average when it comes to maintenance and mechanical ability. I never buy wrecked or "project" bikes because I don't have the time to invest in them. Most of my purchases have been from people who have maintained their ride well but just decided to move onto something else or have realized that their financial situation was not one that allowed them to afford a bike at this time. In most cases I'm the 2nd owner and I always change oil & filter, air filter, spark plug, adjust chains, grease all fittings, and thoroughly go over the bike when I get it. After all I am the one who will be riding it so I want to make sure it's in good shape. Bike shops don't usually invest the care that I do into maintaining their bikes. I then try and keep them a couple months or more depending on how much I like it and then try and find something different. It's hard to part with them sometimes but I always look forward to my next purchase. Sometimes I lose a couple hundred $$ and sometimes I make a couple hundred $$, but in the end it's the thrill of riding that keeps me going.
