His father called this bird in with the aid of this call (left) he bought in the auction at the Appalachain Gobblers chapter banquet this year.

Below is the call I made for him from his first gobbler.

I make these calls strictly as a hobby. I do not sell any of the calls I make. Some are donated to be auctioned as fund raisers for various conservation organizations, others are given simply as gifts. And I will occasionally trade with other callmakers or collectors that are willing to give up one of their creations in exchange for one of mine.

This is my latest and possibly greatest yet. It was made for the captain of the charter boat we fished on and caught the big marlin back in June. It's named "Lucky Lou" in honor of the lady who fought the fish for 4 hrs and wrapped in 'purty blue' as requested by the captain.

These three are from a series I did for the hunters present on the Stone Ledge Ranch hunt I went on in 2004. There were six total hunters but these are the only three photos I have on hand at present.

Pictured here is a sampling of some of my early attemts at making custom wingbone calls.
Sorry for the poor quality of the photos, these are scanned images of the calls. I did not have a digital camera when I made these.

This is my very first three bone call. And it is still my favorite hunting call.
The scrimshaw work on this call was done for me by a fellow callmaker from Louisiana. It inspired me to try my hand at this intriguing art form, and the rest, as they say, is history.
