Jamie
Morris, Writing Coach for short story writers, novelists, self-help writers, poets . . . .
Do you
have a great idea for a book, but aren't sure how to get started?
Are
you halfway through your writing project, but have gotten a little stuck?
Can
you see the light at the end of the literary tunnel, but your story seems to have run out of track?
It's
time to call in a coach!
When
you hire me as your writing coach, you hire a companion for your writing journey, a literary confidante, a teacher, a cheerleader,
a mentor, an advisor, a friend.
During
each stage of the writing process—from your earliest brainstorming sessions all the way to the completion of a significantly
revised full draft—I will empower and support you. I'll show you how to cast a wide net for your first draft, help you
evaluate the ideas you catch there, and guide you in developing a voice (or tone) that both suits your material and engages
your readers.
I'll
also identify what areas of your writing require greater development, point out themes you've begun to establish, and suggest
marketing strategies that will inform the choices you make as you go.
I
specialize in working with first-time writers, and in short fiction, genre fiction, poetry, Young Adult fiction, memoir, and
self-help.
Collaborative,
empathetic, respectful, and well-informed, as your coach, I will invest myself in the success of your work. I'll be on your
side.
