These images were taken through an Orion Skyview Pro 127mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope. The solar filter used was one I made with Baader Planetarium AstroSolar Safety Film.
This image was taken in November 2003, shortly after the massive sunspot activity in late October 2003.
This image was taken in late July 2004 during another cycle of massive sunspot activity. The sunspots you see in this photo are more than 10x the size of the Earth.
