Taz---The Newest Memeber of My Family

HELLO!!!!!
0000387.jpg

With a great deal of anxiety, I recently undertook to locate a new little friend to add to my life.

He's a mixed-breed Chihuahua named Taz.  He's six years old but still has a lot of "puppy energy".  He came from Pets Unlimited--a veterinary hospital and shelter located in the tony Fillmore district in San Francisco.

It's been a bit over a week since he moved in and the photo above shows him in his favorite place--burrowed in the covers on the bed.

Even though he's only 12 pounds, he has somehow managed to take over the whole bed...  The right side has been where I've slept for years, but I've now been moved to the center.

It's a small price to pay for such a bundle of joy...

I've always had pets--mostly dogs.  I started out as an enfant with "Speck" (a general all around White and Black dog), then Rowdy and Twinkles (German Shepard mixes), then Heidi and  Holly (Beagles).

After Heidi and Holly, I moved out on my own.  My first pet was a Terrier mix, Tipi.  She lived 19 years.  During her life she had the following companions:

  • Satchel (little black mixed breed who died of liver cancer)
  • Sybil (A large black cat)
  • Sheena (Pomeranian--died of congestive heart failure)
  • Max (Min Pin--still living with my ex-partner)

On the next couple of pages I've put together the beginning of a photo album, which I'll add to as time goes on...

Thanks for stopping by.
