One of my dearest friends lives in St. Louis and was unable to attend our celebration. We
have known each other since the age of 13 and she knows more about me than probably anyone.
She was familiar with my thoughts on getting married again, (which I had stayed true to for over
20 years!) so when Tom came along and changed my whole world, it was a pretty big deal to hear I was going to marry him.
(Let me just say that there have been two events in my life that I was never more sure
of...moving to Santa Fe and sharing the rest of my life with Tom.)
The card to the right arrived from my friend along with a 'representative' she had sent in her place.
She requested that I "...please wear this (at least briefly) as a symbol of how important this event
is." She went on further to request proof that I had at least tried it on.
Well Marie....not only did I try it on, but I managed to get some other folks to do the
same in honor of you.
