| At the age of four to six months an infant should now begin to turn from side to side and use their arms and legs. At this age the infant's ability to accurately accommodate or focus their eyes at various distances should be well developed. This is also an important period in the development of accurate eye-hand coordination. The infant's eyes should continue to become more mobile and move with little head movement. The infant should display such behavior as watching more distant objects and more actively inspecting their immediate surroundings. This should include such actions as looking at their bottle while feeding and their hands and feet while sitting.
