Squeeb!

was he the result of a science experiment? or a vision from the hallucinations caused by the car accident in which Greg and Toast met? Squeeb is the original Tulip drummer!

Steven M. Glover, who knows Morse code as well as the Hemlich maneuver, was in home room with Greg K. in Jr. High school, where he politely introduced himself with a firm handshake. Years later and still posture perfect, Squeeb wrote his drum parts from behind a blue sparkle drum kit, and became famous for playing the Nazi Shatzi waltz with one hand (while holding the microphone and singing in baritone German with the other).

Back in the day, we gigged around L.A's dive bars like The Shamrock, The Gaslight, Al's Bar, Raji's and Club 88...we would rock-out with rad old school bands like Sandy Duncan's Eye, PopDefect, Possum Dixon, Black Angel's Death Song, LoveDog, Slug and many more. Our first tour was up into the North West with Scream (yes, Dave Grohl) we played basements with the likes of BratMobile and Calamity Jane, as well as larger punk clubs with Flipper, Green Day, Sunny Day Real Estate, Love Battery, and L7. What fun it was to enjoy the favorable climate of a pre-diseased "alternative" scene.

The Original Tulip Recipe still plays on occasion, and was captured on the full length Flipside releases "Insects" and "Orbital" as well as the "Linoleum" 7"single. (Several of Squeeb's illustrations can also be found in the newsprint booklet that comes with that release). Squeeb is now in Chicago playing with Rockin' Bill and the Wild Coyotes. He is the proud father of the future bass and lead guitar of Squeeb and the She Squibs: twin girls! more details as this page develops...
