The page to which you have attempted to link belongs within a browser frameset which has not been properly loaded by starting from this web site's Home Page.
...and follow the links, such as that to "Spinoza's Works", to then access the desired text. Or, to go straight to Spinoza's Works, click here:
If you are trying to create a link to a specific element in Spinoza's Ethics then perhaps you might visit the following web site and link to the specific element there:

This problem usually occurs because someone has created a link which points to an individual
page at this web site and unfortunately the standard implementation of the frameset feature, which allows for more
than one page to be displayed within the browser window, provides no way to create a link which
will reload those particular pages being viewed back into the frameset. In addition, using a script
to create a link that would reload the page (this was being done here in the past for the Topic Index
and a few other pages) has the undesirable side effect of creating an address, identifying that
specific page, in the browser which would then remain as part of any attempt to create any subsequent
links leading to long convoluted links.
Framesets also create problems for Internet search sites and for these and other reasons the use of
browser frames is usually discouraged and in fact may eventually be removed from the web page
design standards.
For now, as long as framesets continue to be supported by most browsers, the site will remain as it is and I hope that you might find it useful as you work to follow Spinoza's long chains of reason especially as expressed in The Ethics using the Geometric Method. -Terry Neff |
