The Common Mad Person Poems

after the walls (blues)

supposed to not come back
unheard of
creature from the black lagoon rising to terrify
or awe
the multitudes
forever shaken
rise and wash off the old dregs
of their hatred
perfume yourself with clean smells
of pine
and roses
walk in the wilderness
watch the sunset
dreaming of yourself and life
hold a lover
gently
talk with a child
hug the stuffed monkey given you as a treasure
listen to the blues
