Tom Medlin's Stained Glass Page

I have been working in Stained Glass since 1980. I work primarily in the copper foil technique pioneered by Louis Comfort Tiffany.

Stained glass construction is labor intensive at best. It requires:

• development of a pattern
• cutting out of the pattern pieces
• cutting of the glass pieces
• smoothing and foiling the glass pieces
• assembly with solder

My body of work includes:

• boxes
• lampshades (form made, panel made)
• panels
