Team
Philosophy
OUR team resembles a family and We will do whatever it takes to make our family successful. Everyone
in a family has roles and responsibilities. Trust and communication will keep
us all working towards the betterment of our family. Soccer is FUN and players
and parents must never loose sight of the joy that goes along with the beautiful game.
Players will play to win – but not play to win at all costs – learn the exhilaration of victory –
and handle adversity with dignity and courage.
We will ALWAYS leave the field knowing this TEAM did everything
it could to win.
If we can say this our program will soar to new heights.
Being on this team is an honor and a privilege.
If you believe that a strong work ethic, loyalty, commitment, accountability,
teamwork, and family matter in your life – than you have found your spot –
WELCOME HOME!
Play & Player Philosophy
- We want our players to play “quality” soccer. Quality soccer means...
- Learning how to play possession. Players should know that quality soccer involves creative movement of the ball in
order to keep possession.
- Movement off the ball.
The majority of the game is played without the ball. Players must learn
this vital aspect of soccer.
- Everyone plays defense and everyone attacks - No matter what
position you play.
- We encourage risk taking!!
Take a chance - the game is all about risk v. reward.
- Philosophy of Player Development
- Our program emphasizes soccer education. Our playing field is an extension of the classroom.
Learning the game is something we value.
o We want players to have an advanced knowledge of the game:
systems, positions, and tactics will be taught and stressed.
o We encourage creativity - players must think for themselves
and solve the "problems" of the game through creative play.
o Playing simple and having field vision. Simplicity is the best approach to the game. Vision allows
players to see play before it unfolds.
o Players should take calculated risks during matches.
o We want players to think for themselves and try new ideas.
o Players will take individual ownership to improve. We will provide the atmosphere, conditions, equipment and knowledge for players to get to the next level
- the player must take ownership of their game in order to improve.
o Good technique. Mastering
the ball builds confidence, betters the game and improves the player.
