Well, it is about time someone finally put together a criminal prosecution against Tom DeLay. Politicians are so used to getting away with prostituting themselves and betraying the public trust for their own personal gain (or that of their cronies) that I think most people have simply given up ever having a representative government that works the way it is supposed to.

It is most humorous that Tom DeLay is whining that this is all politically motivated. Coming from a ruthless power broker who did his share of politically motivated hatchet work during his career, that is deliciously ironic. I will be watching this trial with a lot of interest. Let's see if we still have an independent and reliable judiciary.
