Press Release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
3 TENORS IN SEARCH OF AN ACT! had its world premiere at Don't Tell Mama's on June 2nd, 2004 in NYC. It was a sold-out success and was brought back for several return engagements. They also premiered a "Holiday Edition" of their show at the world renowned Trinity Church on December 9th of that same year.

They won the 2005 BACK STAGE Bistro Award for Outstanding Musical Comedy Act and the show was nominated by the NY Press as one of 3 finalists for "Outstanding Cabaret Musical Revue/Group/Variety Performance" for the 2005 NY Nightlife Awards and they performed with the other finalists in the show's grand finale at Town Hall.

On June 28th, 2005, they returned with a new Expanded Edition of their award winning show to Helen's cabaret theatre in the heart of Chelsea where it continued to receive critical acclaim and, most recently, on Dec. 6th, 2005, they premiered A THREE TENOR CHRISTMAS, an all new show with sparkling new arrangements by their musical director Paul Stephan.

Wicked,  smart, and uplifting, 3 TENORS IN SEARCH OF AN ACT! is a light-hearted evening poking campy fun at tenors, and the world of  theatre and cabaret.

The original concept was the brain-child of Edd Clark and Paul Stephan, who asked their long-time friends, Bill Brooks  and Steven Tharp to help create a show spoofing the original "3 Tenors." After all, there'd already been the 3 Tenors,  3 Mo' Tenors, 3 Irish Tenors and even The Ten Tenors. However, while working on the show, they found that just spoofing the original 3 Tenors was too limiting. So, utilizing many musical styles including Pop, Musical Theatre, Soul, Jazz and Opera, the three "searching" tenors  set out to find their own voice, and in the process created a show with an original blend of harmony and humor.
