10.11.05 Whoops. I goofed. That show at New World is this Wednesday. Not Thursday. But go out Thursday anyways also cuz The Dukes are playing. But come out Wednesday too because New Bruises is playing and Joe and Durium will spin records. We had to cancel the Orlando show because Chest Rockwell couldn't get out of school or something. We'll get over there again eventually and all two of you will have a good time, I'm sure. Also, someone has been consistently playing us on 97X on the local show. Without us asking even. To whoever's doin' it, thanks! Get in touch and we'll give you other things to play if you're getting sick of whatever you have now.
9.26.05 Damn. I guess it's high time we get back on this internet horse. It's been a weird but normal, good but bad, sick and ugly few months. Shortly after we got back from the UK, our buddy Tommy Laskas was killed at a COC concert at the Masquerade. What makes it worse, is the fact that the guy who stabbed him and his wife, Wendy (who thankfully survived) had already supposedly been banned for life from the venue for pulling a knife on a bouncer and when the bouncer recognized him and brought it up with management, they told him to just keep an eye on him since it was a slow night. We played a benefit show for Tommy's family there, but aside from that, none of us have much interest in giving the people at Masquerade any of our money. Just something to consider if you live around here. This is still hard to talk about. Tommy was the second freind we've lost in a year to senseless violence and it's really hard to express how depressing that is, so enough of this. Our trip to the UK was fun and so was our little jaunt around the midwest with The Soviettes and Grabass was fun even though we collectively lost hundreds and hundreds of dollars on both those trips. Oh well, what else is new. As for other out of town things, we had a trip planned to New Orleans and back, but it looks like that's probably not gonna happen now. There are a few shows listed (including FEST 4!) in the shows section. One is with a rad band from the UK called Milloy. Belive it or not we're also actually playing Orlando for the second time ever. Aside from that, we have a split 7" with I Excuse coming out soon on Snuffy Smiles Records very soon. We're stoked since I Excuse is not only easily one of the best bands out of Japan, but one of the best bands around. It should be all done by the time FEST rolls around. Yoichi actually said he'd have them for us at FEST which pretty much guarantees that all of them will be broken or given away for free bfore the weekend is over. I know there was some talk of us headin over to Japan again, but that doesn't look like it's gonna happen anytime soon. What else...we just recorded a song (Nowhere Is My Home) for a Replacements tribute comp that will hopefully come together before too long on 1-2-3-4 Go Records and we gave "3/22 Is National Quit Your Job Day" to a benefit for protect.org. Uhhh...that should be out pretty soon as well. We played some benefit for protect.org awhile back and while we're positive that they're not making any money off our efforts, we still think they're a good organization that you should at least familiarize yourself with. Oh yea, and if you're not planning on going to FEST, you should change your plans mostly because Sexy is playing, The Urchin is coming all the way from Tokyo, Radon is doin a reunion show, but most importantly, Super Van a.k.a. the Ding Dong Wagon will be there.
4.12.05 Guess it's been awhile since I out anything up here. There is actual news. First and foremost, we will be playing a show of all cover songs on the 17th at New World with The Dukes and Flat Stanley. This was done under the false premise that people will actually come see us so we can raise some cold hard cash for our (probably very expensive) trip to England at the end of the month. We're playing some really good songs very poorly and some really bad songs very poorly. Hopefully, I can get this thing recorded and posted to Internet, USA somewhere as a free downloadable live album in all its squalor. I'll post the setlist afterwards. Speaking of England things are panning out nicely and aside from minor things like transportation and equipment we're very close to good to go. In case you didn't cacth th sarcasm, we really need to come up with some way of getting around over there and some equipment to use. So if any of you British Islanders can help us out, drop us a line. In other shows news, we're planning on playing the Soviettes record release show up in MPLS in June. Hopefully we'll play in Chicago and Fargo as well - two cities we missed on our last outing in the area. In other news ADD is back on the internet. We're as freaked out as you are, but this is for real. Speaking of internets, we geeked out and made a MySpace page, so, in the words of Ralph Wiggum, "Let's Bee Friends."
2.22.05 OK. Tonight, we're playing with a band called Shat - as in the past-tense of the bodily function. I'm totally not making this up. So, it's a Jack Spat show and the dudes in Shat will probably make fun of us from what I've heard, but it will be worth it for the free beer at New World. Besides, the Dukes and Crash Mitchell are playing as well, so it should be pretty sort of awesome. In other news, we're still bad at updating the internet, but we're getting better at blackjack. Also, in addition to the other million things that we're supposed to be putting out at some point, we've also got word from Yoichi that there should be a Tim Version/I Excuse split 7" in the not too far away future on Snuffy Smiles! Killer. Our plans for touring the British Isles are coming together nicely as well and we even have tenative dates in the shows section. We're definitely stoked. Alright. That's all I can think of for now. Toodles.
1.20.05 Hey. Got a few shows comin' up, including a show with Grabass, the Soviettes, Smoke or Fire (formerly Jericho) and Rehasher in Gainesville tomorrow and the same line up for free on Sunday in Tampa at the Masquerade. Actually, the New Bruises are included in that as well, so...well...that's pretty awesome. Aside from that, we finally recorded a couple songs for the Tampa compilation that is comin' out soon on ADD Records. I helped Dave out with the mastering and I gotta say, I'm pretty stoked about the whole thing. Two unreleased songs, by about 10 or so bands from the great and mighty bay area. I was really impressed with everyone's contributions. Hopefully Dave has his new computer running now and he can get the artwork done for that and the damn Ash County Sluggers CD that was supposed to be out in 1832 or something. Also, workin' on the UK. Lookin' pretty good so far. We have dates and tenative cities and about two shoes somewhat booked. Now we just need tickets and a way to get around and some equipment to use while we're over there. Oh yea...if you wanna read about what The Tim Version is really like on tour, go here. Yep, I'm that guy...way to go me.
12.05.04 Sorry for the unprecedented lack of updates, but I can’t say it hasn’t been a weird and busy past couple of months here with all of us.  First off, I gotta say something about our buddy, Dave Rat.  This is old news if you live in Tampa (and I’m sure most of you do), but we lost a good friend of ours on the 24th of October because someone decided to bring their brand new knife out to a show at the New World Brewery.  The circumstances surrounding the situation are pointless, but the bottom line is someone thought they were getting jumped and decided to get their knife out to "defend" themselves.  In reality, all anyone ever was really trying to do is break up a fight.  One of the people who tried to break it up was Dave Rat and he got stabbed in the heart because of it.  Things like that don’t seem real until you go to the funeral and see your friend lying in a casket, all the while his family is cryin’ and askin’ why things like this have to happen.  All because one tough guy had to bring a knife out drinking with him.  I guess the points I’m trying to make here are that if someone you know (or even you) feels like they need to routinely carry a knife, or a gun or brass knuckles or whatever around with them to "defend" themselves with, tell them about our buddy Dave and let them know where things like that lead to.  If that dude hadn’t been carrying a knife, then I probably wouldn’t be typing all this right now, Dave Rat would still be with us and the dude with the knife wouldn’t be facing two second degree murder charges.  Our friend Dave Decker (of Clairmel, Watson and Vagina Sore Jr. fame) also got stabbed in the stomach and the arm, but I’m very happy to say that, aside from the $30,000 in medical bills he’s looking at, he’s made a full recovery.  I guess the only other thing I wanted to say was that Dave Rat was a really great guy and we’re all gonna miss him.  So the weekend after that was FEST III, and you know that, despite the circumstances, that was a good time.  We saw a lot of great bands, and although we probably didn’t play the best set of our lives it was still a lot of fun.  Thanks again go out to Tony and here’s to wondering how much longer a band like us can be lucky enough to be involved with something like that year after year.  Hopefully, he won’t wise up by the time the next one rolls around.  A couple days after that we left for tour.  I’m really sorry I didn’t get the shows updated beforehand, but with moving into a new house (note the new address below), FEST and everything else going on, it just never happened.  Nonetheless, we had a great time and, although it’s gonna be hard for me to remember everyone (which is OK because most of them won't read this anyway), we definitely owe big wet smooches to Vena Cava, Uri Garcia, Aaron Kohl, Daniel from DFB, Bobby Borte and the Sick Sick Birds, Toshi, Matt Army and Josh from Desperation Radio for their help and patience in New York, everyone in New Paltz, the dude from Dirtrag in Pittsburgh (totally forgot your name...sorry), all Uri’s pals in Kent, the NL dudes, Nate and the Modern Machines, and anybody else in Milwaukee who helped us out there, Paddy, the Triple Rock, the folks at the Alamo, Billy and Sturgeon and their robot toilet for the awesome breakfast, Chris, Allison, and everyone else in Bloomington whose names I forgot, everyone at the Fuck What You Heard House (sorry again about the cops and thanks for the bowling!), Jon and the twins in Cincy, the Springwater, Lipstick Killers in Nashville and the dude from Ass Chapel who set up the show (forgot your name too...sorry), Tom Foote, Heather, Mike Pack and everyone else in Chattanooga who I probably totally insulted, everyone at Tite Pockets in Athens for the tacos and coffee, it helped me get over a nasty hangover, all our buds in Gainesville and of course, the Grabass dudes.  We’re really gonna start working on trying to get over to England sometime in probably April of next year.  Our plans are to go with the Dukes, so if any of you out there in internet land can help us out, we’d really appreciate it.  Aside from that, we’re recording a few more songs for what looks to be a pretty rad Tampa/ADD comp.  More on that as we get our act together.  Thanks!
09.24.04 Yep. FEST III is upon us. You don't wanna miss this 'un, especially if you missed the last one. In fact, if you've never attended a one of the infamous Gainesville FESTs, then you probably ain't no fun and should go to this one to learn how it's done. Shortly after that we got a long overdue tour with the Grabass Charlestons. It's been way too long since we been out of town, so we're gonna fix that with a trip up the east coast and around the midwest in November. Sweet vacation that'll be. Aside from that, it was nice of Scott Harrel from The Weekly Planet to agin risk his professional credibility by listing our CD as one of the best local band CDs of late in the Best Of The Bay. He hit the mark on the Human Echo and The Mersey Seat though 'cuz those spins are pretty sweet. Aside from that, I know we get asked to play alot around here for this that and the next thing and I'm really sorry we have to turn a lot of things down. Basically, well, not only do we not wanna burn ourselves out playin' shows, nor do we want to dedicate all our spare time to Tim, thus forgoing our actual, real lives and incurring the wrath of the females in the process, but we also got a dude (Mike) who works at night and on the weekends and it makes it hard for us to do a show when we know he's gonna be losing a hundred bucks or whatever that he could be puttin' towards his house payment and whatnot. So we just got to be really picky about what and when we can play. I guess when it comes down to it, we'd rather just have him save his money for tour since that shit is so much fun. Just keep asking us if you have been and don't feel bad or take it personally if we have to turn it down. We do got some local shows comin' up though before we leave and I'm gonna try and make sure that we can get some other bands from around here to play who we haven't played with before to keep things fun. OK...Cheat commandos O's...Rock, rock on.
08.01.04 Well, I should probably update the ol' website seein' as how we have a show tonight and everything. Todd Taylor's (Razorcake) protect.org benefit was a lot of fun and despite our lack of practice the whole thing came off with a smidge of competence. So, I suppose if you wanna email us and tell us how awesome we are, you can do that. No, seriously, the whole thing was fun and benefited a good cause. It's good to see that bands like Against Me! (not too mention Whiskey & Co. and the Grabass fellas) gettin' behind things like that. Actually, the good folks at protect.org posted somethin' bout it here. Against Me! needs a new "press photo" though. That one makes 'em look like serial killers. If anyone wants to tell James that they can use the one they took of me in the bathroom, then it's cool. Recording wasn't too shabby. We're gonna go polish it up at the end of the month and see what we can make happen for the theoretical Tim Version/Grabass Charlestons split 7" that has been discussed. Also gotta send that song off to the 1-2-3-4- Go dude for his comp. I'm a slacker. If it's cool with him, I'll post it up in MP3 format. Also, a few weeks back, Scott Harrel of Weekly Planet fame, risked his professional journalism career to write a little article on us. In case you don't live around here or you'd forgotten what a newspaper looks like, you can check it out here.
06.28.04 Christ. Well, I guess it’s been a while since this thing got updated. To make up for that blunder, I’ve updated the links page with, well, new links, put some new and here-to-fore unreleased MP3s up on the MP3 page (some of these really scrape the proverbial bottom-of-the-barrel from a performance standpoint but we’ll just chalk ‘em up to “sorta-funny-I-suppose”), added some new reviews (even a couple new bad ones) and I’ve finally started posting some written accounts of our out-of-town experiences in the shows section that I promised I’d try to do ohhhh so long ago. Got some pretty fun shows on the horizon with Carrie Nations, The Pink Lincolns, Against Me!, One Reason and some other rad bands. Should be a good time. Actually, the other band I (“I” being “Russ”) am in, Vagina Sore Jr., with our bud Joe and Richie and Dave Decker of Clairmel (who are still around and rocking the casbah despite what all you non-Floridians might believe) will be playin’ the show with the Pink Lincolns. Should be a pretty good time so long as the State Theatre people don’t get all totalitarian on us again. Aside form that, I know we haven’t been too active in the out-of-town-shows category lately, but we plan on takin’ care of that in October with a east coast/midwest tour. Grabass has expressed interest in this venture and assuming they aren’t fuckin’ sick of touring by that point, it should be a go. So, I guess more on that as we get it rolling. Speaking of Grabass, they’re in Europe right now with Aaron and Uri. We’re jealous. Mike Collins is homeless and, despite what he may tell you, we’re not jealous of him. We’ve been keeping up with our bowlin’ and Shawn hit a 219 a few weeks ago. The Bus, aka Phil Dukes, managed an impressive 258, not long ago and, though I’m not much for bragging, I gotta say I hit my all-time high score of 255 on Thursday and I’m pretty stoked. We’re gonna do some recording on July 6th with Rob up in Gainesville for splits and comps and various other tidbits. One of the songs is supposed to be for the follow up to last years Experiments In Audio Rocketry released by 1-2-3-4 Go Records that Steve was kind enough to invite us on board for. Also, in an act of shameless self-promotion, I’m going to mention here that Sooooo Intense International is chugging along at a pretty good clip that could be best described in accurate terms as being “above industry standards.” So go download some Savage Brewtality and get hip.
03.20.04 Ughhh...I got a bunch of new links I need to put up here, but I just ain't up for it yet. I'll try and do it in the next couple days. Well, despite breaking some "lowest attendance records" and some "least grossing tour" records, our little alcoholiday with the Dukes was nothing short of complete and total success. Probably about a 9.7 on a the debauchery scale. I guess we all should probably go to church now or something. None the less, we're still alive and I'll be damned if it wasn't a rad time. Thanks to TBIAPB and company, End Of The Line Cafe, the President Casino in Biloxi, the wonderful ladies of Larry Flynt's Hustler Club in New Orleans, happy hour specials everywhere, free beer at The Dixie, Oscar, fuckin' Seth(!), BJ's bar, that other bar I blacked out in and spent all my money, "Trabe", low carb menu choices, the wonderful folk and bands at Cave 9, the Nick's beer, Stacy and her firend's pizza orderin' phone, Jeff Brawer's couch, chives, the fast actiona tire changing NASCAR hands of Shawn, Travis, Phil and Mike, Big Daddy's, Creed's first show, free hot dogs, Mike Colliun's underwear, the parking lot of Discount Auto Parts, Travi's new alternator and of course the Dan, Mike Collins, Adam Hull and the ol' Dukes Of Hillsborough. The North Lincoln/Gibbons show was fuckin' badass as hell also. Speakin' of badass shows, we're playin' Common Grounds with D4, Billy Reese and Grabass on Monday and the enxt weekend we're playin' the 305 Fest in Miami with tons of badass rockers! This, oddly enough, will be our first show in Miami and it should be a good one. That'll probably be it for a while. We gotta work our shitty day and night jobs and save some money to tour again later this year.
03.01.04 We totally pulled a Homer with this little alchoholiday and managed to get shows in every city we're going to. Hurray for us. Also got a few other random shows you may want to check out. Also, people have complained that we often do not let people know when we're playing. This is true. We're really bad at the whole promoting thing. So, I have institued a new feature. If you would like to be updated with our goings-ons them email sointenserecords@hotmail.com and I swear to God we will try and let you know what we are up to without spaming mailboxes with an email every other time one of us takes a shit. Who knows if this'll work out, but it is an experimental feature that we will introduce with a lengthy trial period, so hop on board. Aside from that, if you're down with the whole MP3 thing and/or want to get your hands on some sweet, sweet Japanese rock'n'roll, then check out Spalding's badass distro website.
02.16.04 Alright. Time to update the website. We've been bowlin' every Thursday at that bowling alley on Armenia a couple blocks south of Hillsborough. They have all-you-can-bowl from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM for like $6.67, shoes included. It's a pretty sweet deal. So if you wanna come out, please join us. We got kicked out last week, but it wasn't really our fault, and it probably won't happen this week. Travis and Jeff from the Dukes and Dave Disorder have been hittin' it also. Phil makes it out every now and then and kills it when he's there. Shawn's been kickin' ass as well. I think his highest is 217 so far. I've just started tryin' to bowl with a hook. It's tough, but I think my game'll get a lot more consistent with some practice. I got a 168 last week (three points shy of my high score), so we'll see what happens here in the ensuing weeks. Scott keeps talkin' big, but has yet to deliver the goods and Mike has to work on Thursdays. We got a couple shows around town next month with North Lincoln. We're trying to go outta town in mid-March with the Dukes, but we've had a hard time gettin' shows, so...well...who cares. Check the shows section and email us if you want to to start bookin' all our out of town shows for us because it's just too damn depressing to deal with. Who knows...maybe shit'll work out though. Alright...also, check the shows and see if we said we'd play somewhere, but it's not listed there. I can't remember what we've said we're gonna do and it feels like I'm missing something. Got some new songs we're workin' out also. Might record 'em eventually. Speaking of recordings, our stupid little record made a couple top releases of 2003 here, here, here and here. Oh yea...the Dukes Of Hillsborough/Altaira split will probably make some top releases of 2004. It's gonna be a good one. Toodles.
01.01.04 Happy New Year, folks! I've actually updated the website. You'd think I could've done it while I had tons of time recovering from the tonsillectomy and the Tim Version was doing nothing, but no, no that would've been a good idea. Anyways, I've updated the long overdue noise and dudes section with new pictures (explanations to come soon, I swear), reviews and documentaion of our recorded output from the past couple years. I also managed to find a pretty decent place to put up some MP3s, so download away if you are a computer nerd here. I've also managed to update the us section with a few things. One of which is an interview we recently did for Deep Fry Bonanza (thanks Daniel). Also, a couple pretty badass shows on the horizon. One with The Lawrence Arms, The Ghost and the Crabgrass Barley Stones courtesy of Mr. Jack Spatafora. That means if you're fool enough to not already own a copy of the fine, fine record that is the Grabass Charleston's The Greatest Story Ever Hula'd, you will be in a prime position to do so whilst in attendance of this show. Also, we've been fortunate enough to be invited to play the Skatepark Of Tampa 11 year anniversary thanks to Mr. Brian Schaefer! You saw the flyer on the way in. By the way, don't let the flyer fool you as I believe we will be playing first...so the nine of you that read this can make it there early enough to see us. Thanks!
10.24.03 Fest...dudes...beer...thanks...fun...blah blah blah...yada yada yada. Check out the shows section for dates on our upcoming tour of The Congo.
10.02.03 It's been awhile. We've started practicing again and we've even played a couple shows. One for Heidi and Peephole Records and another double header with Stressface from Gainesville, The Holy Mountain and The Rogue Set. Sorry we didn't really post anything about those, but we're not too good with the whole promo thingee. Thanks to the Peephole people for the hospitatility and the comp and to Stressface, The Rogue Set and The Holy Mountain for the good times. Aside from that, we're actually playin' a few more shows. Check the shows section for details on everything else. Oh shit! We're playin' The Fest again this year, too. That's gonna freak out the world. If you don't live in or near FL yer missin' out. Get a plane ticket now. Oct 17th and 18th. Those shows and a show with Tiltwheel down here in Tampa will also be our last shows for awhile due to me gettin' my tonsils out on the 20th so I'm livin' it up. Oh yea, aside from that our funny little faces appear in this month's issue of Razorcake! We're on the cover even! Can you believe that shit? Cuz' we can't. Razorcake must be going down the tubes ass first with their eyes closed. Ha ha. No seriously, thanks to Todd, Sean and everyone at Razorcake for all the kind words and support over the years. We really do appreciate it. Also, someone from Razorcake posted a review of our live show in Atlanta here. Thanks! Oh yea, almost forgot. We posted MP3s from our new CD here. Check 'em out. Also, check out the badass Sooooooo Intense webpage. World domination is next.
08.12.03 We've been back from tour long enough to get settled into everything and it kinda sucks. Personally, I'd rather back on tour. The whole month of July was pretty goddamn amazing. Probably one of the best months of my life and I think probably the best tour we've had. Thank yous are in order to the Grabass Charlestons, Tiltwheel, Billy Reese Peters, North Lincoln, Todd and Sean from Razorcake (especially Todd for makin' sure we got to the airport on time - let's face it, we wouldn't have made it otherwise), and especially Yoichi from Snuffy Smiles. There's about a million other people who set up shows for, gave us places to stay, made us food or just hung out and drank some beers and I seriously can't kiss those people's asses enough. We had a fuckin' rad time. And if you read this, thank you so much. For Nihojin: Nippon wa subarashi-katta desu. Tanoshi-katta. Iichiban ii.Sumimasen. Hinjaku na nihongo motteiru desu. Baggage, Deeds Not Words, This Play, Zero Fast, Evomom, I Excuse, Minority Blues Band, Hush Puppy, Suguru and Spraypaint, Big Hand Family, Reflection In The Mirror, Pear Of The West, Are Lights, Practice, Atsashi and Three Minute Movie, Mura and Blotto, The Last Last One, The Urchin, Navel, Yoichi Snuffy Smiles...Arigato gozaimasu. E nihonjin no tame ni kantai, arigato gozaimasu. Watashi wa nozomu The Tim Version kaeru. Shochu mo oishi-katta desu. Basically, Japan was fucking amazing. We had the best possible time and met some rad people. Pretty much every band we played with was amazing (sugoi) and the hospitality we recieved was incredible. Not to mention, we're not used to people knowing our songs, so that was really mind blowing as well. We also got our new CDs upon returning to the states and we even sold a few on the way back to FL. Nobody has told us it sucks yet, so we're happy. If you'd like, you can purchase one through the fine people at ADD Enterprises. Ok, that's it. No shows scheduled for now. We're takin' a break. I'm writing a tour journal of our trip and I will try and post some songs from the new CD on MP3.com in the coming days. In the meantime, I've added some new links on the links page for all y'all to check out.
06.10.03 I guess first off I'd just like to say that our buddy Frank Vagnozzi passed away a few weeks ago which is a real bummer. Scott put something up on the message board about it when it happened. Frank played guitar in the Reckless Deerhunters who were, if you're not familiar with them, a long time mainstay of Tampa music. We not only played some of our earliest shows with the Deerhunters, but some really fun ones. Aside from that obvious bummer, everything else is going pretty well. We got done with all the layout for the new CD. We settled on the title "Prohibition Starts Tomorrow", basically 'cuz we couldn't come up with anything else that didn't sound ridiculous. Dave Disorder sent it off to press and seems pretty sure that all that shit'll be back before we leave in July. Tour looks pretty amazing. Replay Dave is a genius. Certain unnamed members of The Tim Version and the Pull Out Method booked a show at the Springs Bar while tripping on shrooms. Also, we're playing the New World tomorrow with The Y, The Pull Out Method and Gold Circles, so that should pretty much rule.
05.02.03 Playin' WMNF Tropical Heatwave tomorrow. Should be cool. Playin' some more shows later this month and next month. Recorded some songs with Rob McGregor. Came out pretty good, I guess. Puttin' outta record soon if Dave doesn't think it sucks. New Dukes Of Hillsborough record is pretty rad. Buy that first. Plannin' our tour out west with Grabass. Email us if you can help. Got my passport in the mail. Gonna fly across the Pacific Ocean in July. Intense. We got those acoustic records done, but Scott has to make the covers at work in small increments and I gotta glue 'em together, so don't expect no miracles. Mike L got one somehow. By the way, email Scott at timversion@earthlink.net and congratulate him on gettin' married to his long-time young lady friend, Tara.Plus and I know this is old news, but Kelly Kombat didn't get elected to City Council. What a bummer. He wrote something about it here. Democracy is probably a joke and New York is alright if you like saxophones. The Onion Flavored Rings, John Prine and Oliver Nelson all kick ass. So does beer.
03.10.03 It's been a while. Sorry for the lack of updates. We're playin'a show this Thursday at The Orpheum for the Skatepark Of Tampa's Contest weekend. It'll be full of drunk skaters. This could be a slightly volatile situation, but we're into it. Also playin' are The Dukes, who got chairs thrown at them the last time they played a SPOT event, Rehasher and Anchor (both from Gainesville). Anchor is pretty badass. I haven't heard Rehasher and all I know about them is one of the dudes from Less Than Jake is in the band (or maybe that was Anchor - I don't really know but, still, I hear good things about them). At the very least it's a FREE SHOW, so you it'll be that much harder for us to rip you off. Let's see. Our Japanese split 7" with Baggage is all done and we'll have those along with our acoustic record dealy on Thursday. If you ain't from 'round here and you want a drunk 10" record, you will soon be able to order it through So Intense. Believe it or not, the CEO of So Intense is a pretty busy guy and the Executive Director of the Executive Board of Dircetors is busy gettin' blow jobs and talkin' about the Hair Beard Combo, so the website ain't quite done yet. Some bad news...Super Chinchilla Rescue Mission called it quits. What a bummer, we're gonna miss 'em. Good luck to all thos guys with whatever they do next. They were an amazing band. Speaking of broke up bands, there's talk of a Pink Lincolns reunion and we've been asked to open, which, of course, we would defnitely do. I think it's still kinda bein' planned out, but we'll keep you posted. Also, it looks like we might get to play Tropical Heatwave this year for a bunch of people that'll hate us, but we love Scott Emerich so we want to do it anyways. Besides, I think we get free beer. Alright, that's about it fer now. If you have an extra $3000 dollars (it's a long story) you can send us, we would really appreciate it. None of us aren't very good at things like responsibility.
01.27.03 Hey. A couple bits of info for you: First the insane news. Yoichi from Snuffy Smiles asked us if we want to tour Japan (he lives there). Of course, we do. So we're going to Japan in July most likely. Now, please understand that this reaches far beyond any realistic expectations we've ever had for our little group of dudes. It's a total cream dream and, while it may not be a big deal for bands that are…well, for lack of a better term, "successful", it's a pretty big deal for us. The sequence of events leading up to this seems somewhat credible, but the end result (touring Japan) is mind boggling. So, in conclusion, we'd like to congratulate ourselves and thank Yoichi for invitin' us over. We still have to figure out how to pay for the airplane tickets, so if you want to send us some cash that'd be real nice of you. While you're at it send some money to help pay for Mike Paul's brand new transmission. We really would appreciate it. Checks are OK. Also, since airplane tickets to Japan are about $1000 cheaper (per person mind you) out of California, it looks like we'll be touring our way out to LA this summer as well. We've only been that way once before, but it was real pretty (not LA, the dessert) and we look forward to playing for 5, 6…maybe even 10 people a night on our way out there. Also, we're headin' to New Orleans this weekend for an alcholiday with our buds in Grabass Charlestons and the Dukes Of Hillsborough. I finally put the shows up in the shows section. As living testament to our brilliant logostical minds, everything that is coming out soon (drunk acoutsic EP, japanese split 7" with Baggage, Japanese CD on Not Superstitious) will be in our hands after we get back from these shows. That's right. We wouldn't have it any other way, really. We played kind of a last minute show with The Boats and The Pace That Kills a couple weeks ago. It turned out to be The Pace That Kills last show, which was kind of a bummer, but a good time was still had by many. Thanks Anthoney fer askin' us to play! Aside from that, go see The Y. They're on tour right now and they need your money, weed and pizza. Thanks.
12.01.02 Ok. Quick update. MP3.com has finally decided that we can have new songs on their website. Here they are. Sin City and Freak Scene are still in the same place and appear to be working. I changed and added a few things to the website if you want to look around. We're doing some shows around the southeast with the Dukes and Grabass. It's gonna be amazing. We're still bookin' the shows so if you can help us out please get in touch. The greatest band in franchise history, Billy Reese Peters, has enlisted PJ to create the greatest website in franchise history. Freak out here.
11.15.02 We've actually have a few things coming out here pretty soon. That's right - a few, more than one, multiple. I know it is usually everything we can do to get out one thing, but all the planets lined up right or something so there you have it. The first release is a split 7" record with Baggage that'll be coming out on Snuffy Smiles Records over in Japan. Baggage is a japanese rock band supposedly in the vein of SLF and the early 'mats and, although we've never heard them, we trust Yoichi's judgement. They also did a whole tour with our buds in the Super Chinchilla Rescue Mission, who were over there recently, so that really can't be a bad thing. I'm not sure what sort of distro this'll have in the good ol' US, but we'll have 'em available and I'll probably try to hock a couple to Vinyl Fever and The KIDS Skateshop. Nonetheless, the record should be out fairly soon and we appreciate Yoichi's willingness to lose hundreds of dollars on our behalf. We're also puttin' out a CD in Japan on Not Superstitious Communications (dig the Leatherface reference here). Our buddy Munehiro runs this outfit and he approached us about re-releasing "Creating Forces..." over in Japan with some extra tracks. We weren't too crazy about the idea of a re-release, so he agreed to let us do an EP for him with a couple songs from the full-length, one from the split with Chinchilla and some other things we've kinda had floatin' around. However, all the extra stuff added up and we recently ended up mastering a 12 song CD. So now it consists of the three songs from our previous releases, three unreleased or otherwise difficult to find songs, two acoustic songs that were only gonna go to vinyl (more on this in a minute) and four songs we recorded live over the air at a radio station in Baltimore. Once again, we weren't too wild about the re-releasing of songs, but this is only gettin' distributed in Japan and our distribution in Japan through ADD isn't nearly as good as it is over here (and considering our distribution over here, one can assume that that's pretty bad - no offense Dave, it's not your fault record stores don't want us) so, hopefully, you can see our reasoning. We also, appreciate Munehiro's willingness to lose hundreds of dollars on our behalf. The third release is a six song acoustic 10" EP that we're putting out via So Intense Records (the money pit of a brainchild formed by myself and one Mike Collins). Now, I've warned ya'll before and I'll warn you again. This is acoustic music - country, folk and hillbilly shit. That's right. We're good 'ol boys. It was recorded crappily on a 4-track in my bedroom in conjunction with banjos and mucho alcohol. This is not expected to be well recieved by the public. So please don't buy it expecting us to rock and then tell us we suck country dick like a bunch of dirty hippies. More than likely, I'll end up with 490 copies sitting in a box in my bedroom, but what can I say, we're idiots. I tried to get us to play some of these songs on a stage in front of actual live people at the State Theatre prior to the Jay Farrar (Uncle Tupelo/Son Volt) show at the end of November, but the guy, Tony, who runs that place is, well, pretty much a giant cock, but also has all sorts of reasons to hate us so that didn't happen. Remind me never to deal with that asshole and/or No Clubs again. Regardless, I hopefully uploaded some of the songs from all these releases to our webpage on the evil MP3.com website. I say hopefully because, as of today, the Universal/Vivendi corporate SOBs who run that conglomerate still haven't accepted any of the songs I put up there. Everything submitted has to go through some sort of approval process to make sure we're not Al Qaeda or some stupid nonsense. At least it's still free. We recorded Sin City by the Flying Burrito Brothers which I put up here along with Freak Scene by Dinosaur Jr. since MP3.com doesn't like cover songs. I'd put 'em all here if I could, but this account probably can't handle it. I guess the next thing we'll put out will be another full-length record that we'll get around to recording whenever we can afford to. In other news, we're actually playin' a show on December 6th at the Liar's Club here in Tampa with Clairmel to help out our buddy Kelly "Kombat" Benjamin who is running for Tampa City Council in March. Kelly is a great guy and when you put him up against most of the city council members in this city he looks like a down right saint. You can check out his campaign platform at www.votekelly.org for more info. Clairmel has another full-length out on No Idea that is totally amazing. It's always fun to see those guys so the show should be a good time. Speakin' of full-lengths, our buds in Grabass just recorded a bunch of songs for their next record which should be out sometime early next year. Hopefully, we'll be doin' a fairly extensive tour with them and Tiltwheel next year if they'll have us. In other touring news, we're gonna get outta town at the end of Janurary with the Dukes and go to New Orleans, mostly because we've never been there. Hopefully, we'll get out of town with Blaine The Mono at the end of Feburary to play some exotic places like Orlando and Miami. Alright, this has gone on way too long and the five people who read this probably know all this stuff and stopped reading it twenty minutes ago. So, until next time...
9.25.02 Alright. Show with D4 was way rad good times. Thanks to them, the other bands, Jack and The Orpheum for puttin' up with us. I'm positive that we, well at least myself, got really drunk and very irritating as the night progressed. There were a lot of people there and no one threw anything heavy at us which is pretty good. We've all been admirers of D4's work fer sometime and it is great to see them gettin' some recognition and success. We played first, i.e. kinda sober, and lived it up after that. I woke up at Shawn's with a headache and writing all over my chest. Thanks for keepin it above the sleeve-line and off the face guys. Uh, we sent our songs out to Yoichi for the Snuffy Smiles split with Baggage and we kinda have artwork, so hopefully we can get that out pretty soon. We're gettin' ready to record some acoustic songs that will make you cry and drink beer to release as an acoustic 10" record here pretty soon. We will also send a few of those, along with some unreleased and live songs over to Munehiero in Japan for him to release on Not Superstitious records. We haven't forgotten about you pal. Aside from that, our little mini-tour has kinda fallen apart and taken on the form of two shows. One in Gainesville and one in Tampa. We apologize to the three or four people who were lookin forward to the Pensacola and Jacksonville shows and we will try to get up there in the not so distant future. The good news is, the shows with The Cro(w)s and Watch It Burn in Gainesville and Tampa, respectively are going to rule the earth. Also, Party of Helicopters which features a roadie in the form of the pizza loving dude, Uri, will be in Gainesville. Uri is good times. Buy him beer, give him pizza and play The Ramones or Motorhead for him. Unfortunatley, Party of Helicopters and Army of Ponch are playing across the street from us in Tampa the next night. But, we encourage everyone to go to both shows and wander back and forth to get with some good rock music. We will. Also that night is The Everybodys in Gainesville which it turns out we will miss since we'll be in Tampa (thanks for correcting me Justin), but go to that if you live in Gainesville or if you don't like us (which if were the case I suppose you wouldn't be reading this) because the tape is amazing and Aaron Lay is gonna make me a copy. PS - The Everybodies consists of Jeff London from Fay Wray, Brent from Radon and dudes from Quit, all of whom, if you are familiar with their work, know that their reputation as songcrafters precedes them. On a similar topic, The Cro(w)s consists of Bill from Radon and Chris from HWM and other cool guys whose reputation also precedes them. They rock. Watch It Burn has a new split CD out on ADD and they rule also. You have absolutley nothing to loose. Trust me, I wouldn't lie to you. In fact, there are about a gazillion amazing shows in the next week culminating in the Radon show in Gainesville on Saturday. Radon is good. Don't miss that shit. This is not a joke! In fact, go up early and catch Bitchin' and Against Me! the night before. In fact, PJ from Grabass Charlestons is making a tape of all of this rock, so if you have video of the D4 show in Tampa (which was, I thought even better than the G-ville show) or any of the other shows between here and Gainesville in the upcoming week email him at grabasscharlestons@hotmail.com and send him a copy and he will put together an amazing video tape of all the badass rock upcoming. If yer as big a nerd as I or PJ you will know what this means. Am I the only one who gets excited about this shit? Fuck you. Aside from that, our MP3 of our Dinosuar Jr. cover don't work no more, so...sorry about that. Hopefully I can make it work more...again...someday. Alright. Bye bye.
9.08.02 Haven't updates in awhile. Sorry about that. Got a pretty badass show with D4 coming up in a a couple weeks. We're also gonna be doing some rock shows with The Cro(w)s and Watch It Burn the week after. Then Radon plays the Saturday after our Jacksonville show with Watch It Burn. This will defintely be a serious week of rock. I hope everyone can make it up to the Radon show. In fact, if you get to Gainesville early go to Wayward Council and check out The Everybodys. This is a new band with former dudes of Fay Wray and the tape I heard is pretty amazing. We're playin' with The Cro(w)s at Common Grounds that night, but hopefully we can work something out where everybody is available for maximum rock. No pun intended. We've been doin' up some acoustic jams that we'll be recordin' in a few weeks, but for now you can listen to our ridiculous cover of "Freak Scene" by the almighty Dinosaur Jr. by clickin here. Mike Collins is back in Florida. We got drunk at the airport. Chiao.
7.22.02 We just got done recording a couple songs with Mark here at Atomic Audio Recording on Sunday. Me thinks it came out pretty good. Two songs, six minutes, four 12-packs of beer. Mark's new studio was pretty nice except that his isolation booths weren't done yet and, since we wanted to record live we ended up pullin' The Great White Nightmare (Mike Paul's van) into the garage of his studio and settin' up isolation booths in there. It was pretty cool, plus we got to put car horns and engines on the recording. We'll do a final mix and a master in a couple weeks and send it off to Japan for Snuffy Smiles to have. A few shows in the upcoming weeks here. One at the State Theatre of all places on 8/02, one in Gainesville on the 3rd at the Common Grounds with the Dukes Of Hillsborough. We also have another show comin up and one with our buddies from Cincinnatti in KDKO and our St. Pete pals in We Have Agents at The Emerald bar in St. Pete on 8/16. Speaking of The Dukes , they are goin on tour so go see them if you're in one of these cities on one of these days: 7/25 Tampa, FL, 7/26 Jacksonville, FL, 7/27 Valdosta, GA, 7/28 Lafayette, LA, 7/29 New Orleans, LA, 7/30 or 31 in Dallas or Austin, 8/1 Auburn, AL, 8/2 Tuscaloosa, FL, 8/3 Gainesville, FL. Dave Disorder put out another issue of ADD with a day-by-day account of our tour with Tiltwheel as remembered by yours truly. Check it out on the ADD website here. We plan on doin' a short North Florida trip with Watch It Burn and, hopefully, The Cro(w)s (formerly The Sheryl Cro(w)-Mags) in mid-late Sepetmeber. This, of course, is all dependent on Bill and Chris's busy schedules but, hopefully, it'll all work out. That's all I gots for now. I will keep you posted...kinda. Oh yea...Radon is back! They'll play a badass rock show in Gainesville on the 28th of September with I Hate Myself and Billy Reese Peters.
7.01.02 First off, the show with CombatWoundedVeteran and Dumbwaiters has been cancelled. That sucks as we were lookin' forward to playin' it. Apparently CWV had to cancel their entire tour for a reason unbeknowest to us, so we hope they are doin' OK. We closed down The Punkhouse last Friday. Sorry for the lack of info and notice about the show. It was a pretty informal event though. We didn't play until late, late and I don't remember much about it. I remember something about duct tape and ceiling fans. The rest is pretty blurry. I'm pretty sure it was fun and I know we'll miss playin' there. Couple other things for all y'all. We are gettin' ready to go record a couple new songs with Mark at Atomic Audio later this month. One will be for a split 7" with Baggage on Snuffy Smiles Records that should be out in Japan later this year. The other will be a cover that we're gonna do up for the Japanese EP thingy for Not Superstitious. Lot's of Japanese stuff here. We had talked about doin' a Graham Parker song but there were a lot of words in it and it seemed pretty hard, so I think we've settled on attempting to record "Freak Scene" by Dinosaur Jr. I guess we'll just see how it goes. We're also workin' on some acoustic-type numbers that will be recorded in my bedroom at some point in the not-so-distant future. These will pretty much be for Not Superstitious, but, we might try and do some other things with them. ADD is puttin' out another magazine that will have a compliation CD of some great FL bands - Grabass Charlestons, Billy Reese Peters, Blaine The Mono, Bitchin', etc. That should be out pretty soon. It'll have a new-ish song by us on there as well. It'll also have a written day-by-day account of our great and mighty tour with Tiltwheel, penned by yours truly, so check it out. Our show at The Twilight was pretty much a bust. A fun bust, but a bust none the less. Aside from the eight or so freinds we had that showed up, there was pretty much no one there. Unfortunately, So Far No Good had to cancel which kept the place all the more empty. Man do they love us down here in ol' Tampa, FL. On the bright side, the sound was great and the people who run the joint were really cool. We also went to the Seminole Gaming Palace where I gambled away about $15 afterwards. Our good buds in Ashes of Grisum and Nutrajet are playin' there (The Twilight, mind you, not the Seminole Gaming Palace) on July 24th, so go see them if you can. You may notice the new email addresses down below. One is for our lovely friend Jessica, who handles all of our important press-type stuff since we really don't know shit about all that and the other one is to sign up for our crappy email list. I hate it when bands email me every five minutes to tell me that they just took a shit, so I PROMISE that if you sign up, you will only get an email from us when one of us dies or if we decide to go on a tour, put out a record, etc. Alright, take care of yerself and drink a beer for Mr. Entwistle when you get a chance.
6.10.02 Alright, lots of cool stuff goin’ on. First off, The Fest was a blast. We had a great time and got to see about a gazillion amazing bands all in one night. Thanks to everybody who set that up, everybody who played it and here’s to makin’ that a yearly deal. Cheers. The Kosher show at the infamous Punkhouse was badass as well. There weren’t as many people there as I thought there’d be, but, nonetheless, Kosher was amazing, Clairmel was their kickass-rockin-selves and we managed to get some money together for Kosher to blow on gas and hookers on their way back to MO. Thanks for helpin' 'em out if you did. Speakin’ of The Punkhouse, the last show ever will be at the last weekend of the month as the tenants have finally been kicked out. We are slated to play along with about a million other bands. This will probably be fairly insane. More as it develops. If you are in a band and would like to play talk to Dave from ADD. His email address is addzine@gte.net. We are also puttin’ out a couple things in Japan. One will be a split 7” with a band called Baggage that will be out on Snuffy Smiles, hopefully, later this year. The other release is a promotional EP type thingy that our buddy Munehiero (sorry I can’t spell your name right) has offered to put out for his label/zine, Not Superstitious Records. It will more than likely have a few tracks from our full-length, a couple from the split with Chinchilla, some unreleased songs, a couple acoustic ditties and a couple live tracks. Snuffy Smiles and Not Superstitous have helped us out a lot with all things Japanese and hopefully by putting the EP and the split out at about the same time, with two different sets of songs, there will be enough consumer interest generated to keep the both of them from going broke. Thanks again guys. In other Japanese news, our good buds in the SuperChinchillaRescueMission are headin’ over to Japan to tour in October/Novemeber. You guys rule. Eat some sushi and drink an Ichiban for me. In other “buddy” news, those lovable Gainesvillian folk in Bitchin’ have put out a full-length on No Idear records and are currently in Idaho or some shit tourin’. Go see them and buy all their shit since they rule. In shows news…we are playin’ some. The most urgent one will be this Wednesday, June 12th at The Twilight (the place where The Rubb used to be) on 7th Ave. in Ybor City. The show is early, there are only two bands, us and So Far No Good, and they are gonna stay open as a club that will play all your favorite pop/new wave/punk/whatnot, etc. hits afterwards. Pretty cool idea. We are slightly concerned about no one being there, since most of our performances in this city are somewhat sparsely attended, and although this doesn’t bother us, we’d hate for the nice guy who wanted us to play this place to get fired from his kush job because the club lost $50,430 or somethin. So, for sympathy reasons, please try and check this one out. We’re also playin’ a show with Combat Wounded Veteran at their tour end on July 15th with The Dumbwaiters. Should be pretty cool. Also I believe our pal, Chris Temple, is organizing a breast cancer benefit that we will play because we all have Moms and we love them. More on all this soon. Bye bye.
5.22.02 We are now back and pretty much settled in from the amazing rock tour. We had a rad time, drank untold mountains of canned beer, met some really cool people and hung out with some old buddies. For those who live in Colorado, we’re sorry that we didn’t make it out there. One of the shows was cancelled due to a drive-by shooting, or so I am told, and we voted on the feasibility of driving 12 hours and back to play the one other show we had booked. CO lost unfortunately. Also, I don’t think we ever called (or just plain forgot to call) Virgil to let him know we weren’t goin’ to make it, so, we’re pretty much dicks. Sorry about that. Tiltwheel was pretty much tits on every night despite their excessive binge drinking. We only lost about $300 gambling this time and only two of us ended up with minor head injuries – a concussion that Shawn got from wrestling his drums and a small cut I got from some Motorhead fan’s spiked wristband. Success. Even the shows that were sparsely attended (there were a lot of ‘em) were good times due to Titwheel and our traveling road crews. Thanks to everyone in all the cities who helped us out with shows, food, beer, etc. (especially Bobby Borte and Spencer, Iowa) and tremendous thanks to Steve Goriilla Wits, Seth Swaaley, Mike Pac and Alisha for doin’ our travelin’ road crew duties. I will write a story or some shit later with all the tour details, etc. etc. In the meantime, you can check out Deep Fry Bonanza’s review of our Baltimore “show” here and there are some pictures that our buddy Rob in Warrensburg, MO took here. Speaking of Rob, we’ll be playing with his band, Kosher, at the punkhouse in Tampa on the 8th of June I think. Also, this coming weekend, we’re playin’ The Fest in Gainesville. There’s about 60 bands playin’ at 5 different venues. There’s a schedule on The Fest website, here. I think we’re playin’ Saturday at 5:00 or something like that. Note: Many of the bands playin’ fest kick ass. Stories and pictures to follow soon.
4.25.02 As this is written, I'm randomly throwing things into duffle bags in a desparate attempt to get ready for tour. We leave in about 10 minutes. Check out the shows section. Hopefully we'll see you at one of 'em. Take care.
4.01.02 Alright, we're back online. The website went down mostly because I'm an idiot. The details surrounding this occurence are pretty boring and I'm not going to get into them here. Basically, all you need to know is that it was NOT becasue we are popular. Nonetheless, we're back. On to more important things. The tour is about 90% booked. All the shows are posted in the shows section. The missing details will be filled in when we get 'em. We're having some trouble with a NC show. So, if you, or anyone you know, between SC and DC would be willing to have a party and let us, Tiltwheel, The Dukes of Hillsborough and possibly Super Chinchilla Rescue Mission play in your basement or living room, please let us know. Or if you have a club or bar and would be willing to let us play there that would be aces as well. Otherwise, we will probably spend that Saturday somewhere on I-95 watching Beligerent Phil throw beer cans at passing traffic.
3.17.02 Not much new is going on really. We're just planning the tour out. Some more dates are added here in the shows section. It's coming together pretty good and it should be a lot of fun. We're lookin' forward to seein' our friends in other cities. We even started practicing. Thanks to the numerous people who have helped us set this up so far. In other news, BRP and Grabass have our trailer. If you see them, make sure that it's safe. We're not really concerned but they're from Gainesville and we know how things get with them. There's some new pictures up in the dudes section and the message board wasn't workin', but now I guess it is. Alright, that's all boys and girls. Good night.
3.04.02 We haven't seen them yet, but apprently the CD is out and, according to Dave and Virgil, people have been buying them. Which is pretty good. If you'd like to order one you can do so from here, ADD, or here, Suburban Home. Or you can wait til we come to your town on the Timwheel Burnin' Tour and we'll let you con us into giving one away for free since we're horrible business men destined to tour in vans that smell like Chris Stone's farts down through the ages. Nonetheless, the tour is coming together nicely and we're pretty stoked to get away from our shitty dayjobs and hit the road with our buds in Tiltwheel and the Dukes of Hillsborough for a few days. More dates are posted in the shows section. I have new pics (thanks Jade, Andy and Dave) that I'll be posting soon. Go see Billy Reese Peters, Grabass Charlestons, Crooked Fingers and The Royal Tannebaums because we love you sonsabitches and we want you to be happy. Take care.
2.08.02 We finished everything for the new CD. The mastering was done up real purty like at Atomic Audio here in Tampa and we - well, pretty much Dave Disorder and Chris Stone - did the layout and everything has been sent off to press. It's been officially dubbed, "Super Chinchilla Rescue Mission and The Timversion...Go Halves On A Bastard." 9 songs...25 minutes. We should get 'em back in a few weeks. Check out the ADD website for details on all the other haps. Also, the Suburban Home Distribution catalog is done and out. It has us and some other bands that are pretty god damned rockin' on it, i.e. Jack Palance Band, Pinhead Circus, the Chinch, the Dukes. If you know any of those bands then you probably know the song on their, but it's still pretty cool to have for free - you cheap bastards. I think you also get one when you order something from Suburban Home or ADD or some other labels, but I'm not too sure. So buy some shit from one of those labels and you can find out. Also, the Dukes of Hillsborough have a new CD out so buy their shit as well. What else...ah, rock tours. We're gonna tour with those bastards in Tiltwheel again this summer. Should be a tremendous blast and I encourage everyone who lives in a city that we're going to to come and see us and Tiltwheel play rock music. We don't have a whole whale of a lot booked so far, but we, at least, have a decent idea of the cities and dates we're doin'. So here they are.

4/26 Columbia, SC
4/27 Chapel Hill, NC

This is just a tentative schedule right now, but it's the basic path of rock. As things get finalized, I will try to post them in the shows section. We're trying to play in some cities we haven't been to before, so if anyone can help out with shows in any of these areas please let us or Tiltwheel know. Also, there's this guy in Evansville that does basement shows we're trying to get hold of. If anyone knows him tell him we want to rock with him all night and that he should get in touch. We also had the brilliant idea of advertising this little tour in a couple magazines, so people can see the ad for the tour and not a give a shit about it. Brilliant, eh? I tell you...we're always thinkin. In other news, our buddies in the Grabass Charlestons and Billy Reese Peters are touring to support their badass split coming out on No Idear records. You should go see 'em if their comin' to your town because they like pirates and Galaga. You should also feed them and give them a place to stay. However, you should be forewarned that they will drink all your beer and break all your shit. If this happens kick Mike Collins in the taint and tell him you want your fuckin' fries right fuckin' now! Check out the Grabass Charlestons website for all the cities. BRP doesn't have a website because their too coked up all the time. Also, we're still not millionaire rock stars and Jeff Brawer is Lil' Sally.
1.21.02 The show at the SPOT was pretty aces. We all had a good time and got to see some great bands and hang out with some good buddies. Saving for our (my) equipment failures - one from a pedal and the other from my guitar head blowin' out - we had a good time playing and we give much thanks to Brian and the SPOT for asking us to play. Clairmel, Chinchilla and Hot Water Music were all amazing and there was some way rad skatin' going on before hand. We consumed many beers and went to the Hub afterwards. Everything after that is very blurry. I'm pretty sure that Mike, Shawn and our bud, Chris Stone, got together the next day to work on the layout for the split with Chinchilla and hopefully Jim remembered to give Shawn the songs (since I forgot to get them from him) so we can do the mastering. More on this fiasco as it develops. Take care.
1.18.02 We recorded some new songs a couple months back for a split CD with our good buddies in the Super Chinchilla Rescue Mission. They pretty much rule and they drink lots of beer. The songs they recorded pretty much rule also. We're waitin' on Jim to sample a line from Casino, or some gangster movie, of Robert DeNiro saying "It's Chinchilla baby," so we can master everything and send it off to press. We still don't have a name or artwork for the CD, but it's all in the works and we can probably muster enough creativity to come up with something that doesn't suck. Either way, look for ADD to release this thing in late Feburary.. We also recorded a couple songs for a split 7" with Bitchin' from Gainesville. One song is an original and the other is a cover of a Bitchin' song called "Now I Know." We basically tried to do it up Uncle Tupelo style, but we've had mixed reactions to the results. Dave didn't like it at all. Sam said she liked it but it sounded really gay (she meant this in a nice way I'm sure). Todd from Bitchin' heard it and thought that we were making fun of them. And all our buddy Aaron said was "doobies and palm trees." At any rate, to make a long story short. We're pretty happy with it, and if no one else really likes it...well...it was a damn good song before we fucked it up. We like the original we recorded for the split as well and we're gonna try and give that to Mike Pac for a This Here Records comp he's working on or some shit. Aside from that, Suburban Home is supposed to be putting out a magazine compilation that has an interview with us in it. I can't remember what we said in it, but I'm pretty sure we sound like dweebs. The song we gave them is one we like though, so maybe that will redeem us. Aside from that, we're playing a kick ass rock show at the Skatepark of Tampa that you should really go to if you like free beer, Clairmel, Super Chinchillas and Hot Water Musics and skateboards. It's on Saturday the 19th o' Januray at the SPOT. It will be our last show for a while as we need to take some time out to smell the roses and plan for our tour with Tiltwheelie in late April. Alright! Take care lovers...thanks.
1.17.02 We finally got a new web site up and running. You gotta admit...it pretty much rules. C'mon look at the surfing pictures! We're strongly considering updating this one on a regular basis. We swear. We're all still in a band too, so I guess that's pretty cool.
