Panel Photos

I elected to go with a two piece removable panel for easy avionics maintenance. The removable panel sections are attached to a sub frame with screws.

First I created a detailed mockup on cardboard...

The subframe is created by removing most of the metal from the stock instrument panel, leaving a frame which will be riveted to the fuselage

There's a blank space under the transponder for an IFR GPS (when prices become reasonable and precision GPS approaches are routine)
