If it's "the word of god" how come the bible contradicts itself? Click here for one partial list of biblical contradictions. Some items in the list aren't examples I would have chosen, but some are incontrovertible (8 is not 18, for example).

Here's another set of contradictions (and some prime examples of terrible biblical moral values) from "Losing Faith In Faith: From Preacher To Atheist, by Dan Barker.

Col Robert Ingersoll wrote his description of the bible in 1894. It's worth a read.

Answer: "The deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group" is known as genocide. It's an internationally recognized war crime.
Individuals who commit or order genocide are properly imprisoned, not worshiped.
