America!! What have you done to your children? We hide ourselves..in the daylight....We cry at night when no one is near..when being alone is more important than being looked at with shame..because of you.We are always on alert, ever vigilant, tired...yet with more energy than you can  envision from your place in life. Do you even know how much energy it takes to live day to day in this shell? Look at our eyes sometime..really look..and you will see hard eyes...eyes that have been alert to danger for a long long time. No, it's not paranoia..it's who we are..and what we have become from years of having to hide ourselves away so that we could attempt to be a part of our own country...while so many wanted to take it away from us. Did it never occur to you that we would "die" within ourselves nearly everyday for the rest of our lives?   Remembering... remembering..little by little and with each memory ...another line is drawn!! What you see now is not anger...it's an elusive question. Can it even be answered? Why America ...why did you abandon us in our hour of need.?

Oh...you say.."get over it..that was then..this is now" ..but have you ever tried to see through our eyes? Or were you more interested in going forward with your lies? The Battle still rages on...while your ignorance remains intact..trying to forget what you have done...pretending it's all in the past while your sons and daughters, brothers, sisters, and spouses live in in that same place. Our past will always be your future America..until we all go home again. Behold.....a night alone..

What's in a dream? Why does this happen? Have you any clue..other than believing that we are "prone to violence"... Are those the only words you know? Have you ever bothered to listen ...to hear what happened to us without turning your heads in pain? Or was that shame? Didn't you know that  all we needed was your acknowledgement that it wasn't just a nightmare? Didn't you know that was part of the path home? It was not just the fighters... this very pain is in everyone that ever walked on that soil. Your caught in a false perception America. Look at our wonderful Sisters that gave their all..to help in what way they could...look close in their eyes too...and you will see the same deep looks of an aching heart. Who was it that had you foolishly  believe that the fighting men were the one to be so afraid of...open your eyes and see! There should be much more fear in a goverment that allows this to happen to their sons and daughters. Yet..it was easier to blame the victims rather than the politicians.  Lets bring our country, our people back together again..less we allow this government "of the people" become "The Government." The time to wake up was an hour ago........
