I love the way you relate to the children. After reading Jessica, I gave it to my eleven year old niece to read. She is more
compassionate and patient with her peers, because she now knows that they may be "mean" because they may have some problems
with their parents. This revelation has changed her social life tremendously. Thank you for writing the book.

I liked and enjoyed reading this short chapter
of Hold on, Jessica, don't let go. I'm also interested in purchasing the book in the near future. This story is very good,
well written, for both children and adults.

Comments: I appeal to your generosity to donate some books (even if they are second-hand), so I can help my city's
children and youth learn foreign languages. My GLOWINSKIS' LIBRARY is the first and only library its size in Poland - and
in Europe, too. It came into existence without money and is free to borrowers.
With best regards from Olesnica, Poland. Tadeusz Glowiński, librarian, teddy@box43.gnet.pl

Comments: We are trying to provide age and content appropriate books (also posters, pictures, etc) for the poorest
and most at risk children of Washington, DC. These books will be donated to the elementary school libraries as well as to
the individual children. Your gift could forever change a child's future. The good your gift could do may change a life.

Comments: "Jessica" was very enjoyable. It definitely gives hope to the children who find themselves in the same situation.
I love how you explained that her father probably hated what he'd become and was ashamed, but just couldn't stop himself.
Hooray for Jessica, she looks to the future, and realizes she can break away from the past and begin anew. All the best with
your writing. You have a clear understanding of young people's feelings.

2.When did you start reading books?

Comments: Deanna is a wonderful writer, full of insights into children's lives, able to entertain while she plants
insights into young readers' minds. Her writing is a fabulous replacement for what comes in on television, and she has many
important and relevant messages for her audiences of children and young adults. Her style isn't similar, but I see marks of
her being an S. E. Hinton ("The Outsiders") of her time, unafraid to tackle big issues or to write stories in which bad things
can happen.

Comments: Read the whole book last night and was moved by the process Jessica experienced. Would like to know what
happened to her in the remaining of her life. The story suggests great things ahead, or does she do the regular things really
well? How does this affect the way she deals with the future curves life throws? Lovely young lady.
