Usually the school had around 15 students.
However, the teacher had to prepare lessons for eight grades!
To
the left was a wood shed, which would often be tipped over at Halloween.
To the right in the back were the outhouses, one
for girls and one for boys.To the far left (out of photo) was a field where kids could play baseball at recess.
Other games included Prisoner's Base, Stealing Sticks, Fox & Geese, and Red Rover.
Students also had great fun playing in the woods to the right until someone came in
contact with poison ivy. That was the
end of that. The woods became off-limits.
