Polymer Clay

horizontal rule

Polymer Clay is a plastic-based material composed of particles of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) suspended in a plasticizer that fuse into hard, durable plastic when heated. The beauty of this art medium is that the product comes in various colors, the colors can be mixed or blended, patterns can be built that can be reduced or layered, and items can be cut or sculpted from the clay. In addition, the curing process takes between 20 minutes and 1 hour, and can be cured at an oven temperature of 265F or less.
