Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling, auto-immune disease which affects the central nervous system. Symptoms may be mild (such as numbness in the limbs), or severe (including paralysis or loss of vision). The disease is not a predictable one, onset typically happens between 20 and 40, but is often misdiagnosed or even undiagnosed. At this time it is uncertain whether the disease is genetic in nature, or is caused by a single factor or series of factors. Research continues for information and a cure.
