Here are the September 2001 meeting minutes of the
Faultline Riders Chapter of Women in the Wind.

| Officers Meeting - Monday, September 17th--6:00pm at Cafe Romeo in
Milpitas. (Jacklyn and Park Victoria) What we're going to try to do is handle some of the
organizational stuff separate form the Sunday meetings...so we can all get together and
ride sooner! You're all invited to come and add your input! |
| Summer Rendezvous-SUMMER 2002--we will be putting this on...need to decide where to hold
it...and get going on plans... |
| Toy Run December 2001--Sue to follow on finding a charity run this year,
perhaps put on our own in 2002? |

| Turning and Road Safety---Shawn and her handy "Whiteboard" discussed how
making turns in large groups can be a huge safety issue. Especially when riding staggered,
you must keep your lane position...and not cut across the other rider's lane. (If you're
right...stay right...you must make a tight turn. If you're left, don't cut across the
right-hand rider's path.) This can cause serious accidents for those behind you who maynot
be able to correct for your error. |
| Alcohol and Riding -- Know that you can pretty well estimate that you're "over the
limit" in California, if you've had more than 1 drink/hour. If you're riding with
someone who is doing that, they you're taking your life in your hands by riding with that
person. If you're going to have a beer with lunch, have one. :^> |
| RIDE - Four of us took off for
Half Moon Bay...Jodie took them all on a circuitous route...getting slightly lost in
Milpitas (all right...so no U-turns..but we went farther than we expected!) We all came
back on CA-92 and split off after that! |

First Sunday of the month) at 10:45AM....See you there!!!
