Meeting Minutes -- Sunday, October 1, 2000

Called to order 9:00am  (at Flames Restaurant)

Present: (8) Shawn Saulsbury,  Leigh Ann Chen,   Ellyn Berner, Rhonda Witharm,  Nancy Brown-Leahy, Jodie Tice, Susan Egea and Terri Metzer (Terri, if I blew it and didn't get your name right!! My apologies - Jodie)

Susan rides a Ducati and a BMW K75 (not at the same time!) she creates websites and as been know to trade her web-skills for Motorcycle gear and parts!

Terri rides a Harley...I'll get her name right...as well as her bike at the next meeting...ok??? Thanks!

Secretary’s Report:

No changes were made to September 2000 Minutes.

The Website is updated! New updates will appear by 10/17/2000.

Treasurers Report:

Reminder: Dues were payable by April 1, 2000 at National. As of July 1st, pro-rated dues are $10.00. After November 1st, the pro-rated dues are $5.00. Contact Leigh Ann Chen, re: Dues, or go to the Dues Page.

Other Business:

Bike Mileages Due at November Meeting...get your mileage in for a pin!!

WITW 2001 Winter Nationals will be held in Las Vegas -- February 15-18, 2001. Save the dates...and get your vacation time in now!!!

WITW 2000 California Ride In -- This was held in San Diego during the last weekend in August, 2000.   (This year, no one attended from our chapter.)  YIKES!  (Too many folks went to Sturgis and the Summer Nationals!)  Next year, the WITW 2001 California Ride In is going to be HERE!!! We tentatively set the date as August 24-25-26, 2001.  See our Ride Report below for more info.  Since we aren't completely decided on the location, if you have any recommendations for a place with Camping...and hotel-motel nearby, please SPEAK UP!!! Contact Shawn or Rhonda with your ideas.

WITW 2001 Summer Nationals will be held in San Bernadino, CA  Dates to be announced (typically, late July).

Linda McGowan Update -- Linda is out of Valley Med Center!!  You can check in with her by sending an e-mail to her. Click here!

Ride Suggestions -- We're looking for rides for this year's schedule! HELP!!!  Can you lead a ride?  Shawn is getting tired of leading all the Time! Is there anywhere in the Bay Area you'd like to go for one of our rides?

Let's discuss the ride situation at the November meeting. If we want to go on a longer ride, let's look at planning a separate ride on a day other than a meeting day?? Or maybe change our meetings to a weekday night??

Ride Report:

The abbreviated ride report....We went to Casa De Fruita...and checked it out for a location for the 2001 California Ride In. We chose not to go to Guerneville to check out the location...in order to plan the ride-in we need a location that is closer to our home-base. We have a tentative reservation for the last week in August 2001. (Casa De Fruita needs to get back to Shawn...they may have to move us to the 3rd weekend in August...We'll know by the November meeting.)

If you didn't make this ride, hope you can try to make one of the rides listed on the Rides Page by Melissa (Red), or make up your own ride this month!
