Here are the December 1999 meeting minutes of the Faultline Riders Chapter of Women in
the Wind.
Meeting Minutes -- Sunday, December 5, 1999
Called to order 9:00am
Present (17 + 1) Shawn Saulsbury, Nancy Brown-Leahy, Leigh Ann Chen, Dee-anne
Dopp, Sara Johnson, Linda Leffel, Linda McGowan, Kristan Noriega, Melissa Pekarthy,
Sue Scott, Jodie Tice, Rhonda Witharm, and 5 new members: Roxane Chicoine, Jamie
Jamieson, Eby (yes, only one name!), Sonja Thorp, and Sharon Wells. Judy Johnson (of Santa
Cruz) joined us at SC Harley for the ride!
New Members:
Three of our new members ride Sportsters...Jamie Jamieson, Sonja Thorp, and Sharon
Wells. Roxane rides a Yamaha Radian, and Eby has a Fatboy! Jamie, Sonja, Sharon and Eby
are also members of Women on Wheels. Welcome and safe riding to all of you!

Secretary’s Report:
The Website was updated! New updates will appear by 12/15/99. (WOW! they were a week
early!!!)
Treasurers Report:
No additional news to report re: National. Shawn handed out the small patches to 4 of the
5 new members that attended.
Other Business:
Our meeting was short since we planned to ride to Santa Cruz Harley for the starting point
of the Vietnam Vets Toy Run.
Rides for Next Year:
We're looking for rides for next year's schedule! Is there anywhere in the Bay Area you'd
like to go for one of our rides? Send your suggestions to Shawn or bring them to our next meeting!
Holiday Chapter Party !
REMINDER!!!! our Celebration Holiday Dinner is Sunday December 12th!!
7pm...Hungry Hunter...RSVP to Shawn!!!!
Please reserve Sunday December 12th, 7:00 PM for a holiday dinner out...this will be
member gals only! We will meet for dinner at the Hungry Hunter (just to the left of Java
Garden as you face it and behind Flames!) We'll need a definite head count for a
resrvation, so make sure you contact Shawn, (by

Ride Report:
This was our chapter's biggest ride yet!!! 680 South to 280 North to 17 South!
We went over the Summit and headed downhill to Santa Cruz Harley...on Soquel Drive
(South) off of Ocean. After browsing the Harley Store, the other bikes and the gifts
assembled, we headed over to the Coralitos Grange. The Santa Cruz MC Police blocked off
intersections on Soquel and Ocean to speed us onto Hwy 1 South. (I've never ridden with so
many bikes!!!!) After a semi-highway, semi-scenic ride, we ended up in Coralitos and found
assorted parking at the Grange. Handed in our Gifts, entered with the masses and talked
with some of the other folks there. After food & drink, some pin shopping, listening
to a Blues band, we started to split off...Most of the group headed over Hwy 152 (Mt.
Madonna) and then drove around Calero Dam...and headed home. Som other folks rode to the
WOW holiday potluck. What a great day!
