The Houston, Texas-based office of Chinmaya Worldwide is proud to annouce that their multimedia DVD on the Bhagavad Gita is a Silver Winner in the 2002 Summit Creative Awards® competition for its outstanding creative work
The Summit Creative Awards is the only competition of its kind. It was created in 1994 to recognize exceptional work by advertising agencies, video production companies, multimedia firms and other creative groups with annual billings of $15 million or less. It is the only opportunity such firms have to compete internationally.
This year's panel of judges included Loy Franklin of J. Walter Thompson, Lisa Jones of MWW/Savitt, Simon Coffin of Turner Studios, Pierrot Audet of Publicité Leo Burnett Itée., Jim Clattenburg of Grey Advertising, Jim Strachan and Rob DeMars of Campbell Mithun, Iti Sakharet of Deepend, Kevin Hersh of Mfx, Inc. and New York oil painter Becky Slemmons. Entries in 16 creative categories were judged against a stringent set of standards. Judges looked for innovative and creative concepts, strong executions and the ability to communicate and persuade.
This year's competition received approximately 3,000 entries from 17 countries including Australia, Austria, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, England, Finland, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Sweden, Ukraine, United States and Yugoslavia.
