--INSTALLATION
Place CD-ROM into the computer CD-ROM Drive. If the application does not automatically begin after 30 seconds then double click on "My Computer" on your desktop. Then double click on the "ART" CD disk drive icon in the My Computer window.

QuickTime 3 or QuickTime 4 is required for this application to function. If you have never installed a QuickTime movie player you will see a dialog box that requests that you install QuickTime. Follow the on-screen instructions for the installation routine. When given the option, we recommend choosing the "Full Install" selection. We recommend QuickTime 4 or better for the best performance.

***REINSTALLING QUICKTIME: This procedure only needs to be followed if you have previously installed QuickTime version 4.0, and subsequently un-installed or deleted it: Inside the CD-ROM window in My Computer, double click on the QuickTime folder, and then double click on the file named "Setup.exe". Follow the installation instructions until the installation is completed. When given the option, we recommend choosing the "Full Install" selection. After the installation is completed reinsert the CD into the CD drive or select the "StorageNetworks Impact" CD disk drive icon in the My Computer window.***

***WINDOWS USB DRIVERS: USB drivers can cause the sound to have static in the audio track. In order to have Quicktime function properly on computers that use USB for audio a change in the QuickTime application will have to be done manually. Under Control Panel, choose the QuickTime icon and change the sound out setting to WaveOut.***

***WINDOWS NT INSTALLATION: If you need to install QuickTime onto the Windows NT operating system you will be required to have Administrator rights on the system you are installing.***

***If you wish to install this CD so that you do not need to use the CD to play the StorageNetworks Impact Overview, you will need to copy the entire contents of this CD into a unique folder on your hard drive. With the application residing on your hard drive you can run the application by selecting the StorageNetworks-Start.exe file that you copied into the new folder. After the first time you used the CD an icon was put onto your desktop. This icon is only good for running the application from your CD player. In order to get an icon that will play the application from the new folder on your hard drive, simply delete the original icon on your desktop and start the application by selecting the StorageNetworks-Start.exe file in the new folder. This will create a new icon that has the correct path.

--TROUBLESHOOTING
If your computer has difficulty playing the movies on this CD please check the following solutions:
1. Check your USB settings in the QuickTime Control Panel Icon. See "Windows USB Drivers" above. This will help with sound that has static.
2. Be sure that you have QuickTime 4.0 or better installed to insure the best quality. Some video cards do not show the images correctly with QuickTime 3.0. See "Reinstalling QuickTime" above.
3. Be sure you have at least the minimum system configuration. See the CD label for minimum configuration. A 233 mhz computer or better is required for optimum performance.
4. If you are able to launch the interface but the movie gives you the following error: "Authorware - Unable to display icon "QT3 Sprite"..." You will need to install QuickTime. See "Reinstalling QuickTime" above. This problem is due to QuickTime being improperly uninstalled from your system in the past.

--GETTING STARTED
After you have installed the program, you can access it from the "StorageNetworks Impact" icon on your desktop. The program will also auto-load each time you put the CD into the CD player.

--NAVIGATION DESIGN
This CD is designed to play the animation automatically after you have started the StorageNetworks Impact CD. You have the ability to stop and start the animation by pressing pause and play. The Restart button will start the animation from the beginning. The Close button will exit the application.

--THIRD PARTY INSTALLATION
QuickTime must be installed on your system in order to view the animation. If you do not have QuickTime 3.0 or better installed, please install it during this CD's installation routine or you can install QuickTime directly from the CD (See NOTE above). All third party installation routines reside on the CD.

--QUIT
To quit, select the Close button on the movie player screen and select the Yes button on the credits page.
