Matthew Fox's Creativity - Where the Divine and the Human Meet.
July 10, 2005
I was given this book a couple of years ago and only now have gotten around to reading it. I had known
about Matthew Fox for a long time, but this is the first book of his that I have read. I will soon be reading his other
works because this one has spoken to my heart. To distill it down to its simplest form, Matthew explains to us that
we are most happy when we are creating because we come from a creative force. By using our creativity in whatever we
do, be it the arts, gardening, or making dinner, we put ourselves in touch with that Universal Force and that puts us
in touch with our joy. Looking back on my life, I can't remember a time when I wasn't happy writing a poem, designing
a new clown face, working in my Dad's woodshop or even coming up with new ideas at the various jobs I've held over the years.
Having read this book, I'm going to be more consciously creative every day.
