Dear Fred Compilation Series
The Dear Fred Compilations-Hopefully it will remain a series and if support continues we can continue to put these out on a more regular basis. Basically we come in contact with bands while touring or playing shows in and out of town and we try and get them to give us an unreleased song. If things go as planned they become better known in the towns we play and people who would normally buy our stuff are exposed to some of our peers and influences and vise versa.

Uphill Down Music or Fashion Now broken up.

Swank Clinic Members have gone on to other things but we saw Tony while we were on tour and we got liquored up and went to eighties night in Gainesville -hopefully no one had a camera or we'd lose our street cred.

Webster Walk Away (boo hoo I'm so sad song #539) Now have members The Fuses.

Pezz Take It Back Now on B.Y.O. and going and going.

Funsize Cool On Fueled By Ramen Records.

Trusty Candy One of the best bands I've ever seen and we got one of the best songs they ever recorded-look for the "Cockatu" 7" and "Kathy's Keen" 7" and of course their stuff on Dischord.

The Pee Tanks Sawed Off Now finished but members have gone on to play in The Thumbs, Old Line Trio, All Pro, NecroFeast and Cross My Heart

The Fuses King of The Americas x-Webster members and they are older and meaner (Lee chucked a drum stick and gave me a bloody nose and I loved it). Buy their new cd on American Punk

Swing Riot Projectile Chunks We first met these guys through Webster a bunch of tours ago and actually toured with them for a week or so last summer in Florida. They are amazing and happen to be the house band for C-11 in Atlanta and will take you to EATS if you ask. Ask Brian if he knows any Pogues songs and see what happens.

Dementia 13 Regression We played at Pat the drummer's house and mailed him some numbers from the road. To our surprise we run into Dementia 13 in Wilmington,Ca in the middle of a last minute tour and three thousand miles from home. They sent me this song and the sound quality is horrible but it is my favorite song on the comp and they are exactly the kind of band we want on these things. They've got moxie.

Decal All Week Long We got to see these guys once and played with them once in San Francisco and we became immediate fans. Plus they said we were like a young version of The Replacements. Aw shucks. But they mean't we drink like them not sound like them.

Lynyrd's Innards Meander We've known these guys forever and I still say "Valentine's Day Massacre" is one one the best songs I've ever heard. They just signed up with Johanns Face so check out their stuff.

Town Managers Don Black I swear I couldn't get this song out of my head for two months while on our last tour. I was walking around saying "If you're not part of the solution" and I couldn't remember anymore so of course I'd just repeat it over and over again. Dramatization: Hey pass me the map "if you're not part of the solution" what exit are we looking for? "If you're not part of the solution" I've got to get to a bathroom immediately! "If you're not part of the solution"-Hopefully everyone else likes it as much as I do and seeks out their other stuff.

Premonition Partyline This is Jason's band(Jason who filled in on a two month tour on drums with a weeks notice) that he was telling us about all tour. When we finally heard the stuff we understood why he was so sad they had broke up.

Latebloomer Burn A Day It kills me these guys broke up. They were a really good band with a lot of potential and actually recorded lots of stuff that remains unreleased so any record labels out there that are interested contact them.

The Stuntmen The Ditch Oh shit! I was just informed that this song is not called "the Ditch" its called "Get The Ball Rolling" and some engineer labeled the dat wrong and sent us the wrong song as well as the wrong lyrics. One that was never supposed to be heard by human ears. Cool!

Dropkick Murphy's Streets of Boston You know the term "overnight sucess"- well hypothetically if they got big on the 5th I talked to these guys on the 3rd and despite thousands of requests by labels to be on other comps but since we had talked to them way back when they still gave us a rare song that I was told is out of print now. They deserve to be the next big thing with character like that.We aplaud you.

The Ramens Kneejerk Reaction I was just told they broke up.

The Chiggers Cool Cat Club We've played with these guys twice in El Paso and I think they are planning a national honky tonk tour soon.

Perestroika In My Defense These guys just broke up and its a real shame cause they were good.

Super Hi Five Trumph Arik from Creep Records' band and they have been touring and recording and touring some more. Great band.

Ann Beretta M.C.A. X-members of Inquisition and though they are a relatively new band they have already toured with Avail, ALL, Less Than Jake, Discount, Hot Water Music so they are on the fast track to becoming the next band everyone's talking about.

Intro To Airlift Harmonicae Played with them in D.C. and they were dressed like mods and sounded like the Jam. Go figure.

Crispus Attucks Upside Life Great band from Silver Spring. One of the punkest bands in the area and they got a new cd out.

The 440's Panic Attack They used to be in Dr. Bob's Nightmare and we always liked their stuff.

The Schismatics Black Wings Over Sarajevo Scott has been playing in local bands for a long time and we felt he and his new band deserved a spot to showcase their evil.

Self Punch Face These guys are some of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. God I talk to Garret on the phone occasionally and I'll realize I've been talking to someone in South Carolina for two hours about new developments in the punk scene while my phone bill is growing exponentially. He's continuing to do a great label called Three Day Hero and sets up shows and is now in Insult To Injury.

43 Colorblind Great band which happens to contain two female members who throw down. I meet so many girls that wish they could be in a band and these girls prove that its not only possible to do but they excel at it and turn out one of the toughest songs on the comp. John is very great too.

The Thumbs I Don't This is us. Who says we sound like Digger?

Discount Wasn't Trying To They amaze me. They make me regret everything I've done in the last ten years because I could have been on tour. They are setting a new standard for punk touring bands everywhere.
