The Seagraves is a Twin Cities-based band made up of four non-native Minnesotans who came to Minneapolis-St. Paul for non-music-related reasons. The band formed in the spring of 2003 through a series of City Pages classified ads, and began playing publicly the next fall.

Eric Furlong grew up in Atlanta and Athens, Georgia, then lived in Portland, Oregon, for several years before arriving in Minneapolis. In addition to playing bass for The Seagraves, Eric F. is a freelance music producer and bass player for Portland-based Sunset Valley.

Bob Forman is the newest member of The Seagraves, having replaced original drummer Colm Hassett in the Spring of 2005. A New Jersey native, who spent many years living in Brooklyn, NY, Bob is a veteran of several New York City bands, and spends his days sitting in front of a computer doing graphic design.

James Rone spent his youth in Bristol, UK, and Springfield, Missouri, where he was singer and guitar player for Fallen Flag. In addition to singing, playing guitar, and writing The Seagraves' songs, James is an actor and writes children's educational plays for Climb Theatre.

Eric Winesett is a Tennessee native and former lead singer and guitarist for Chattanooga-based bands Murder of Crows and Twiggy. He plays guitar and keyboard for The Seagraves, and designs the band website. Away from the band, Eric W. is a multimedia sculptor and installation artist.
