Psalm 129 (130)

De profundis clamavi	Out of the depths I cried.
Ipse salvum faciet populum suum a peccatis eorum (Mt 1:21)	He will save His people from their sins. (Mt 1:21)
1 DE PROFUNDIS clamavi, ad te Domine; * 2 Domine, exaudi vocem meam.	1 OUT OF THE DEPTHS I cry to Thee, O Lord; * 2 O Lord, hear my voice!
Fiant aures tuae intendentes * in vocem deprecationis meae.	Let Thy ears be attentive * to the voice of my supplication:
3 Si iniquitates observaveris, Domine, * Domine, quis sustinebit?	3 If Thou, O Lord, mark ones iniquities, * O Lord, who can stand?
4 Quia apud te propitiatio est; * ut timeamus te.	4 But with Thee is forgiveness, * that we may revere Thee.
5 Sustinui te, Domine, * sustinuit anima mea in verbo eius;	5 I have trusted in the Lord; * my soul trusted in His word.
6 speravit anima mea in Domino. * magis quam custodes auroram.	6 My soul waits for the Lord, * more than sentinels wait for the dawn.
Magis quam custodes auroram * 7 speret Israel in Domino;	More than sentinels wait for the dawn, * 7 let Israel wait for the Lord;
quia apud Dominum misericordia, * et copiosa apud eum redemptio.	For with the Lord is mercy * and plenteous with Him is redemption;
8 Et ipse redimet Israel * ex omnibus iniquitatibus eius.	8 And He will redeem Israel * from all their iniquities.
