| Oremus. | Let us pray. |
| O GOD, who didst allay the flames of fire for the three children, grant in Thy mercy that the flame of vice may not consume us, Thy servants. |
| DIRECT, we beseech Thee, O Lord, our actions by Thy inspiration and further them by Thine assistance; that our every word and work may always begin with Thee and be completed through Thee. |
| DA nobis, quaesumus Domine, vitiorum nostrorum flammas exstinguere; qui beato Laurentio tribuisti tormentorum suorum incendia superare. Per Christum Dominum nostrum. | QUENCH in us, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the flame of vice, as Thou didst grant to blessed St. Lawrence to over-come the fire of his torments. Through Christ our Lord. |
| R. Amen. | R. Amen. |
