About The Reactor

The Reactor is a newspaper column written by Paul Azevedo, and published since 1975 in the Pacifica, Calif. Tribune. While it's mostly about Pacifica, the column ranges from political opinion to local history, with occasional forays into ideas and philosophy. Azevedo has opinions on motorcycles, libraries, gun control, (he's in favor of it) open space, and abortion (he's pro-life). A self-confessed liberal Democrat, and past president and vice-president of the fifty year old Pacifica Democratic club, he's not afraid to support Independents like Quentin Kopp or Republicans like Pete McCloskey when he feels they're in the right. He's not afraid to be politically incorrect, though he's perfectly willing to be PC if that's the correct side to take. His E-mail address is paul@thereactor.net.
