EcoLOGICal bent:
Tree of Life, her most noted project, is an Art piece/Restoration project.
Fingerspan Bridge is intended to blend with the landscape; harmonizing with the seasons as the bridge itself weathers.
NOTE: the aforementioned projects both are "low impact" in that little disruption of the earth has been made to accommodate their erection, and also, they are "high impact" projects in that they both are statements, or gestures on the land-ones which people have associated with, and to which they have attached meaning.
POLITICAL/SOCIAL:
- Founded Women Organized Against Rape in Philadelphia.
- Grass Roots; landfills and abandoned buildings.
- Project Tree of Life has become the site of a candlelight vigil in remembrance of people who have died of AIDS.
