Paper Cranes are
an International Symbol of Peace
given as a wish for good health
given as a wish for good luck at a wedding
The crane is considered the "Bird of Happiness"
Elegantly Embellished Paper Cranes
My embellished origami paper cranes are folded with
beautiful Japanese Washi hand silk screened papers
and other beautiful papers.
I add beads and other embellishments to match the paper.
These beautiful Japanese papers are getting more difficult to find
as the old master paper makers are passing away.
Because some washi papers are so difficult to find again,
as an artist, I will choose the paper.
I can make up a crane for you in one of the following colors groups:
reds, yellows, greens, blues, pinks, turquoise, black,
or a variety of pastel and other colors.
Or you can let me surprise you. No two cranes are exactly alike.
I add two cards.
The first card has various sentiments in both English and Japanese:
~ Peace ~ Dream ~ Love ~ Get Well ~ Happiness ~ Joy ~
~ Hope ~ Eternity ~ Wisdom ~ Courage ~ Believe ~
~ Good Fortune ~ Friends ~ Survivor ~ Faith ~
~ Happy Anniversary ~ Happy Birthday ~
~ Thank You ~ Kindness ~ Sympathy ~
If you order cranes via this web site,
please indicate which card(s) tag you want on your crane(s).
The second card is a little square with
ancient Japanese feudal family crests with a crane design.
It was special to have a sandhill crane on the family crest,
since it was believed the crane lived 1,000 years and was good luck.
I will match this card to the paper.
Each crane boasts a "Flying Ace" scarf, because,
after all, aren't cranes Ace Flyers?
6" cranes are $20 each or two for $38
Sometimes I make up larger cranes and those are priced accordingly.
I also make up chains of what I call "Family Groups".
These crane chains have 2 or more cranes in various sizes.
You can see examples here.
Each crane comes with the Paper Crane Story and a gift box.
There will be an extra charge for shipping and handling.
California residents will be charged sales tax.
