Comment: Hi Everyone!
I'm a friend of the guy who started this mailing list--imagine
that! :) So anyway, that's how I found out about the site.
As for the site itself, I don't think it needs any kind of
background wallpaper of anything. As Dan said, the focus here is
on words, not pictures.
And would I join? Well, after a couple of the mailing lists I've
been on as requirements for classes, I generally try and avoid
such things, but under the circumstances, I'm actually quite
interested in seeing what people are writing, and if I ever get
around to writing myself, I'd like the oppertunity to have
someone other than Dan critique it.
So, enjoy, and hope to meet some of you on the list! Happy
writing!

Comment: I am going to subscribe to this site because I write
poetry from time to time and sometimes more and I enjoy hearing
criticism on my work.
I was a member of another site last year but it was discontinued
and so I've decided to find another
locale, this looks to be the place. The verse posted on the page
already is quite good and I
look forward to reading more. Thanks.

Comment: I've been trying to find a site like this for a long
time. My Yahoo WebTracker alerted me about this site, and I must
say that I'm very excited.
I love to write. I really enjoy receiving feedback about my writings. "Honesty comes from the mouth of a stranger more often than from a friend." I hope this will be true, although I won't mind becoming friends with all of the members.
I've already joined and can't wait to start
reading and writing!

Comment: This is great. I'm always looking for a site to read
others' poetry and stories and to share ideas. This seems like a
good one. The stories that I just had an opportunity to read are
good; they really seem to come from the heart. Thanks!I'll keep
this site in mind.

Comment: Looks like a great place to be discovered... No I'm not
a member but I'm interested in becoming one. I write some poetry
and have a short story too. I hope to write a book about what it's
like to adopt a disabled child. I wouldn't mind seeing some of my
poetry published too. Greatness could be only a step away.

Comment: Hi everybody!!
I'm a Spanish student of English and I found this site quite by
chance. I'm fond of writing poetry, so I'll post some stuff. I
expect criticism, obviously, but please take into account that I'm
not a native speaker!
By the way, what do I have to do to post something??

Comment: I think you website is great. I enjoyed the poetry very
much along with all of the other entries. I am currently enrolled
in a creative writing class at my university and wanted to know
what kind of writing I would be doing this semester, out of all
the websites I have seen this site offers the best example of
creative writing,(not done by pros), and I think this site should
be viewed by all the students in this class. Thank you for
letting me get a glimps of what real creative writing is.
Sincerely,
Cheri Rennells

Comment: The lack of a background is definitely a good thing. I
came here for writing to read and for good critiquing, not eye
candy. Philip Flask's Ensemble fascinated me. It challenged me to
read and think differently. I could relate with the music chip
idea as I used to call having a song stuck in my head being
"programmed" so I had to "reprogram" myself.
Peace
