Marilyn's Cafe Society is a 2-hour provocative and at times controversial radio talk show that airs on 1340AM WJOL radio in the Chicago market.
 
The show focuses on human interest topics, world affairs, politics, and the world of music, fashion, and entertainment.
 
Marilyn's purpose is to effect positive change and political enlightenment in the lives of each listener via information and discussion, along with a splash of entertainment.

Saturday, July 4th, Marilyn celebrated Independence Day by sharing her favorite summer music and lite talk...Statute of Liberty re-opening of the crown; MJ updates; fireworks; North Korea; and other entertainment news.
 
On Saturday,June 27th, Marilyn gave tribute to Michael Jackson by playing his music throughout the show and talked about his life, legacy and music. She also talked about the lives and careers of Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon. Marilyn later informed listeners about North Korea's latest actions/statements and stressed how important it is for the government and media to stay on this.

Saturday, June 20th Marilyn dedicated show to Father's Day weekend by sharing lessons, advice from fathers, men. John King, President of Southside Neighborhood Assn stopped in to share his advice and information about the Unity CDC & SNA's Mentoring through Music Youth program and Computer Training program. Visit www.unitycdc.org for more information. Marilyn also took a look a latest headlines. 2nd hour consisted of movie reviews, upcoming summerfest announcements, and the Open Mike Singing contest. Congratulations to Greg Larsen for becoming the June 2009 contestant! Finally, Marilyn promised listeners that she will check into why they couldn't pick up the show via the internet. Be patient!!
 
On Saturday, May 30th, Marilyn talked about the controversial Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls star) story that alleges that someone else took the SAT test for him a few years ago and that a grade was changed for him during his senior year at Simeon High School...this discussion led to debates about athletes and academics; colleges and universities showing favor to students on A List or I List; and even whether affirmative action is relevant and fair!!!!
 
In the 2nd hour, Marilyn and Blake briefly talked about the latest Proposition 8 ruling coming out of California; movie talk/reviews; and other entertainment news.
