Your Personal Speaker,
You may think you know a lot about Great Britain.... but wait until you meet storyteller, humorist, historian and author Lester Morris You and your audience will love Lester's fascinating stories of historical interest and famous places for your next visit. He will point out where some of the great literary writers once lived. You will see where some of the great battles took place. You will learn the difference between England, Wales, Scotland and Great Britain. With the aid of a a large map Lester will take your group on a walk around England with you in mind showing the famous-name places you have heard but have no idea where they are located. So, all this neatly wrapped up in a good English humor that makes it all worth while for a great evening or afternoon tea. Well...Lester was born at a very early age in England, and spent many years as a Tour Director where he met his lovely wife Valerie, who dragged him over to Austin, married him, and subjected him to hot weather, hot food and Interstate 35. Having survived since 1984, Lester claims to be enjoying his new life in Texas. This fine upstanding chap has a number of great subjects he can talk about, and with his wonderful British humorous presentation, it makes him a delight to listen to. Here are some of the subjects Lester loves to talk about: Stonehenge and Crop Circles, Haunted England, Kings and Queens of England, The Tower of London, Castles and Stately Homes, Pubs of England, General Touring of England, British Humor, London and Westminster Abbey. Lester has recently published a fascinating book called 'Did You Knows? of England', which has had some great reviews. The book explains many origins of words, phrases, customs, legends, superstitions and nursery rhymes, including 'frog in throat', rule of thumb', 'honeymoon', loose women', 'sheriff', etc. So....if you are looking for an entertaining speaker in your house...this is the chap for you.
