We are always ready to accept new or gently used books from the community and gladly will fill out a receipt slip for tax purposes upon request.
Donations may be dropped off during Webster Library branch hours at the main desk (they issue receipts also). They can be brought downstairs to us in the basement bookshop during the hours the bookshop is open. The public can also request a curb-side drop off during our operating hours.Please make sure the boxes that your donation is packed in are not larger than the standard moving box. (Roughly 16" by 13" by 10"). Plastic bags (not brown paper ones) are acceptable as a container as long as they are double-wrapped.
- Magazines, periodicals, encyclopedias, textbooks, condense books, cassettes or vinyl records.
- Books with - underlining or high-lighting in them, broken bindings or torn or yellowed pages, or odor (i.e., from tobacco smoke or storage lockers, etc).
- Almanacs, travel guides, restaurant guides or computer guides published within the past two years ago.
- Hardcover books without their dust jackets (especially fiction books) if you notify us before you donate.
