No way, no how.

Serious does not like adventures. Well, she did enjoy Camp, but otherwise she considers adventures something you can't have too little of. Something new might happen, and she does NOT approve of novelty.

Therefore, in sharp contradistinction to Curious and Exploratory Cats everywhere, Serious's adventures are -- Minimalist!

Serious at Camp

While her Mom was out of town, Serious went to camp at her Grandmother's. She was a very good camper, except for (accidentally) jumping into a dish of baked beans.

Serious liked being at her Grandmother's, and even sat on her lap. They played games, and she was fed MUCH more Trout than she got to have at home.

At 5:00 the morning after picking Serious up from camp, Serious's Mom woke up to the sound of a dial tone. Before she could react, she heard a telephone number being dialed, and then ringing at the other end of the line.

By stepping on the speaker and redial buttons on the phone, Serious had called her Grandmother.

Apparently, she was ready to go back to camp...

Serious's Accidental Expedition to the Flower-Bed

A malfunctioning latch on the screened-porch door, Serious peering worriedly out at her Mom returning from the mailbox -- suddenly Serious FALLS OUT OF THE PORCH into the Wide World!

This is AWFUL. She flees in panic into the flower bed, and stays far away from that evil stranger who is evilly PRETENDING to be her Mom. All she wants is to go back INSIDE, into HER HOUSE. She tries to climb in through the windows...

At last the expedition ends successfully, with the aid of newly opened Trout. Scooped up into her Mom's arms, Serious feels much better the moment they are INSIDE again.

Her Mom, however, takes a long time to recover from this adventure.

Hot Foot Serious

Her version is that she was standing all AROUND the hot burner, not ON it.

She says it was her Mom yelling at her to get down and rushing to "rescue" her that startled her into stepping onto the coils.

She wouldn't have done it otherwise, she says. It was definitely her MOM'S fault.
