The Upper Fox River, lower left, empties into the southwest corner of Lake Butte des Morts, center, in this high altitude view to the NNE. Most of the surrounding area is farmland in this clay-rich former glacial lakeplain. The Village of Winneconne and a portion of Lake Winneconne appear toward upper left.
