Wiring using Fender's** S1 switch
Fender** has designed a great new push button switch that is incorporated into their
volume control. This allows custom settings without altering the appearence of the guitar and keeps both tone controls.
But many people are not satisfied with the settings Fender** decided to put onto their S1 switched guitars. Most noteably
absent is the Bridge & Neck in parallel combination and the Bridge & Middle & Neck combination - two of the
most popular custom settings ever done on Strats.
Unfortunately, at this time the S1 switch is not available
to the general public for purchase. It is only available as a warranty replacement directly from Fender, so techs
like myself are not able to offer mods using Fender's S1 style switch just yet. What we can do is rewire yours. And this is where I come in.
If you have a Fender S1 switch and would like to modify the
wiring to get better settings, we have 3 options:
- Send just your S1 switch. I will supply the rest of the parts and use it in a TFN Tech
S1 wiring upgrade
- Send your complete S1 wiring harness to be rewired with TFN Tech S1 wiring upgrade.
We can reuse your pots, but typically, the Super 5 way should be replaced with a new one.
- Send your entire S1 wired pickguard assembly for a complete TFN Tech S1 rewire upgrade.
I will return to you a completely wired harness or assembly combining your S1 and
my custom settings. This will allow you to get the most out of your S1 switch.
