General Description:
This is my new "Ultimod".
This is the result of many hours of research and development. Using Customer feedback from other TFN Tech wiring mods, Feedback
and info received on Guitar discussion forums and personal experience, I compiled a list of the most popular standard
and custom pickup settings. I then designed a wiring harness that includes them all. This is that wiring mod.
Mode of Operation:
This mod is operated by use of a special 3 way rotary
switch. This switch goes in the center control position and replaces that tone control. The remaining tone is then wired as
a master tone. This rotary accesses what I call "Banks". Banks are the 5 settings on your 5 way switch when my custom
switch is in one of it's positions. So for the UltiMod you have 3 total banks, with 5 settings in each, accessed
by the 3 way rotary, then the 5 way.
Under normal playing conditions you will set the
rotary to access whichever Bank is suitable for the song you are about to play. You then use your 5 way switch during the
song to switch on the fly. This is crucial because you are more accustomed to using your 5 way to change tones.
So using this mod will be like second nature.
Custom Settings - Banks:
I use the term "Banks". A Bank is the group
of 5 settings on the 5 way, with the custom rotary switch in each of it's 3 positions. So with a 3 way rotary you will have
3 total Banks.
