What student's have to say about Texas Prep, past and present:

" I wish I had found this school sooner, but I am really glad I am here now!"

"I had gotten to the point that the thought of going to school made me really sick. At Texas Prep, I can't wait to get there and don't want to go home."

" I always thought that I wanted to be an adult and be out of school. My experience at Texas Prep taught me that learning is priceless and I miss the place a lot."

" My experience at Texas Prep helped me overcome a drug addiction and come to realize that I AM smart." I really like the small 'family like' environment and the one-on-one attention."

" I found out about myself more with a staff that is patient and kind and caring."

" What I like best is the open learning environment. The teacher's work very hard to make sure that you understand the curriculum."

" The stress level is kept down and the distractions are almost nonexistent. And there is NO CROWDS!"

Many of our parents have commented on the following as perfect reasons to send their kids to TX Prep. See if you agree with them:

  • Each class is kept to a teacher/student ratio of 10!
  • Before attending Texas Prep, my son had no desire to go on to college. He just wanted to get out of school. NOw he is going to the Policy Academy and we could not be more proud.
  • With the availability of CLEP Test Prep, my child has been able to earn college credits while in attending high school and may return as a college student to continue you this program. WOW!
  • Less students in a class room means less dealing with discipline issues and more teaching my child!
  • Although there is a code of conduct and dress expectations, there is no uniform requirement!
  • My child was "dumbed down" and over medicated while attending pubic school. At Texas Prep I have been guided to better understand what my child really needs to learn and succeed and I am so thankful that we don't need meds.
  • My student can actually earn credit several times during the year in addition to the Fall and Spring semester. This means that my child has the possibility of graduating early!
  • Many of TX Prep's students go on to serve in the military as well as attend colleges/university. I like that my child is part of an environment that promotes serving his/her country.
  • TX Prep has an athletic program that currently allows my child to participate in Volleyball, Basketball, and Swimming. (Football is expected for the 2008 Fall season!)
  • My husband and I joke about how they've put something in the water. We never seen our child study independently before now!
  • There is NO TAKS test at TX Prep! Instead of being taught to take a test, my child is taught the college preparatory curriculum that will allow him/her to be successful wherever he/she decides to go.
  • TX Prep strives to work with their students to succeed no matter what has happened in their lives thus far. I appreciate that this school is not only concerned with helping my child learn, but also with helping my child overcome any obstacles.
