Enrollment Procedure

Parent involvement is important in Montessori education.  In order to learn more about our school,

we request  you do the following before enrollment at the Montessori Center of Jackson:

1.    Observe the classroom. All new parents (both mother and father or legal guardians) are asked to observe the classroom during school hours for a minimum of (1) hour each.  It is to your advantage to see our classroom to ensure that our Montessori environment is one that you are seeking for your child.

2.    Attend parent meetings. A parent from the family is requested to attend meetings at the Montessori Center on the Montessori Method.  These meetings will familiarize you with basic Montessori philosophy.

3.    Participate in personal orientation. Both parents (when available) and the child will be invited to have a personal orientation at the school.  This will allow the child to become familiar with the classroom and the teacher on an individual basis. Orientations with new children will be scheduled with consideration given to the date application is received at the Center and for genuinely interested parents.
