We believe that everyone
contains within them the essence of the Divine. As such, we take
control of our own destinies, refusing the victim mentality. We are
not doormats, nor do we expect others to be so. Everyone has a right
and responsibility to look after his/her own interests by working for and
with one's own desires and Will.
We believe in the experiencing and realizing of
self as deity. We see everyone as
connected by their divinity; and what happens to one person affects
everyone, much like a stone dropped in a pond ripples and changes the pond
as a whole. We are conscious of this connection in our dealings with
other people, but this does not preclude the possibility of causing
directed, purposeful harm when appropriate.
*
We honor Lilitu as our patron. As
the Sumero-Babylonian Goddess of Wind, she is known as the Divine Spirit,
the Great Mother, and many other names. She is well known for her
strength of Will and open sexuality, but she also has incredible patience
for those who are truly willing to listen and learn.
We believe that any sexual activity
between (or among) informed, mature, and consenting adults is appropriate
and is one of the sacred joys of life to be celebrated, not hidden away as
though it were shameful. We recognize the vast potential of sex
magic, and many of us practice it in various
forms.
Blood, urine, other bodily fluids,
hair, fingernails, and indeed all body parts are sacred and magical in our
tradition. They are neither lightly sacrificed nor given for mundane
purposes. Temple Zagduku considers it a grave crime against the
spirit to take any of these things from a person against his/her
will.
We believe that to develop
spiritually in any meaningful way, one must explore both the lighter and
darker aspects of existence. To become that which we wish to be, we
must examine that which we are in all its ramifications; we must also
study why we wish to become that which we are not and honestly assess
whether it is in our best interests.
Though not adverse to learning from others, we believe in doing what works
for us, whether or not it happens to work for anybody else. We
discard those methods, behaviors, and modes of thinking which do not serve
us. We are willing to use any and all techniques and tools that
assist, whether traditional or non-traditional.

and Sacred days pages.
* We do not advocate
illegal activities, and every member's actions are the choice and
responsibility of that member, not of Temple Zagduku or its
leaders.
