Noel's brother Geoffrey is a geologist. He and his wife Marie have three children: Jamey, Geoff and Sarah. Geoffrey has raised a number of field trial champion Black Labs.

Jamey is going to TCU and plays in a band with his brother Geof, called Green River Ordinance (GRO)
