Ferry Boat
(Written By Ken Baker)

I was sitting on a ferry boat
I was coating my lungs with the smoke
I was stealing a glance at a German
Who was singing the songs of his homeland
so flat

I was sitting in a Spanish bar
drowning my liver with a beer
I was stealing a glance at the people
Who were stealing their glances at me too
me too

There are eyes that will meet
and then eyes that will run
and will dance through the crowd
looking for anyone
There were eyes everywhere there were eyes in the bar
All along the roadside staring out of the cars
So don't say it's not true, hey, because I got eyes too

I was lying in the heat of the sun
Watching the sea rolling in
I was stealing at a lady

I was sitting on a ferry boat
I was coating my lungs with the smoke
I was stealing a glance at a lady
who was stealing her glances at me too
Ah but what did they mean, what did they say?
Was it come on, or roll on, or Hooray, Hooray, Hooray

And their eyes that will meet
And then eyes that will run
and will dance through the crowd looking for anyone
There were eyes everywhere
There were eyes in the bar
All along the roadside staring out of the cars
There were eyes everywhere
eyes everywhere

There were eyes everywhere
